RMMC-IS SHS researchers Mark Jade Pagay, Mark Gorumba, Patricia Sardido, Vanessa Bunzo, and Elbert Pintor, who participated in the USAID ESP: WISER Project National Ideation Competition, were awarded as Grand Winners, out of 62 colleges and universities around the Philippines.
Their research project entitled "Automatic Trash-Sorting Bin for Efficient Waste Management" was successfully accomplished with the guidance of their Research Adviser, Sir Shurwin M. Calawod, RMMC Senior High School Coordinator, Ma'am Neliza Parojinog Victoriano, Research Teacher, Ma'am Arceli P. Naval, and Executive Director for Academic Affairs, Dr. Geraldine D. Rodriguez, along with Dr. May Imperial and Engr. Markley Mey Saplala.
Behind this victory stands a story not only of their relentless determination and countless hours of hard work, but also for showcasing their best as they presented their ideas aimed at bringing about a better design and solution related to Renewable Energy.
