THANK YOU Joy and fulfillment painted on the faces of many Brigada workers as we gather them for a thanksgiving event on Thursday, Dec 23. It was a delight and I am thankful seeing them as heroes in their own right and abilities. Yes, there is good reason for their triumphant attitude. They again won the year 2021, breaking obstacles and challenges of the pandemic and even went beyond set goals. Talking to them, my fellow Brigada workers have so much to be thankful for, like the chance that they are able to touch the heart of people and play their role as a community big brother. The spirit of heroism or Brigadahan working. To cap the victorious year, this humble being interacted with Brigada workers in an online town hall meeting via Zoom where I rendered a report on the performance of Brigada as a service and people-oriented company. The year 2021 saw the company’s remarkable financial performance, increasing by 11 percent from 2020. The figure marks a three-year cumulative rise of 20 percent or an average yearly increase of 10 percent since 2019. With such inspiring achievement amid the challenging pandemic, people in Brigada deserve a good treat – a thanksgiving event with a big bang, so to speak. At the Brigada main in Gensan, we had an evening of fun with workers in all levels having a chance to enjoy what they missed in the two years of pandemic restrictions. In gratitude, my family led in a toast for more opportunities for everyone, had a fireworks display, raffled off a motorcycle, several appliances, electronic gadgets and some household items. The event also allowed us to pay tribute to our fallen colleagues, like Yen Quintoy whose children joined in the fun and entertainment. Brigada is always committed to attend to the needs of the loved ones of our workers who perished.
