We, the proud parents of Adrian, would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to his remarkable success.

First and foremost, we extend our thanks to the dedicated educators and staff at O.T Santos Elementary School, who not only taught him the skills of chess but also instilled valuable life lessons. Adrian's tactical prowess in chess has become his key to achieving his goals.

During one summer, Adrian's elder brother, Jayjay, and I set up a sepaktakraw playing venue in our backyard. Initially hesitant to join due to the sport's challenging nature, Adrian eventually took part as a setter player, thanks to Jayjay's encouragement and guidance.

When he reached secondary school, Adrian expressed his desire to study at General Santos City National High School, despite the distance and expenses involved. We wholeheartedly supported his decision, impressed by his perseverance and readiness to take on challenges.

A special mention goes to Coach Sir Jimmy Antiola, who believed in Adrian, trained him rigorously, and helped shape him into a brave and disciplined player. His contributions to Adrian's success are immeasurable.

We also want to acknowledge Maam Ayren Baguio, whose role as a travel companion ensured Adrian's safe journey to and from school. Ma'am, please accept our sincere thanks for your support.

We would like also to thanks the DepEd GenSan Top Management and Deped Region 12 for ensuring their success in the Palarong Pambansa 2023.

Adrian B. Cañas, a Gold Medalist in Palarong Pambansa 2023 and a proud Tinagacan Warrior, has proven his capability to triumph. We are immensely proud of his achievements and are grateful to everyone who played a part in his journey to success.

Notably, both of them are esteemed alumni of Upper Labay Elementary School, a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing outstanding individuals.

The duo's outstanding performance garnered them a multitude of awards, with Jenizylle Malid Kapawan securing an impressive 1st runner-up position among 14 IPs Barangays. The entire Upper Labay Alumni community couldn't be prouder of their remarkable achievements!

Their success in the competition is a true reflection of the high standards of excellence instilled in them during their time at Upper Labay Elementary School. It serves as an inspiration for current students to follow in their footsteps and strive for greatness.

The celebration of Nanay Nene Adanza's eightieth birthday. I couldn't help but see my late mother as she walked down the aisle alongside Nanay Nene. My mother and Nanay Nene had many of the same characteristics, such as being optimistic, strict, and a fighter, but they were also kind and compassionate. She intended to educate all of her children to a high level.

A message to everyone: "Show your love to your parents while they can still feel it because it may be too late once they depart from this earth. Show them your love while they are still able to feel it."
