MT on a nice day at C9. We were really lucky during a few of the contest at the International to get epic conditions! Guys like Piso Alcala, Mark Tokong and others ruled and still do! Loved shaping for all those very talented young surfers! C9 boardriders/ Surf Angels are part of the Secret Spot mothership!!

I was shaping alot of boards for our large team of riders then. Had to make my own blanks and make em start to finish.Many have moved on to being the best in the Philos and worldwide. JMT is still a top competitor as are Nilbie, Piso and others. C9/ Secret Spot still ripping!

Back in the 80’s at Secret Spot we were pretty edgy. We had a run on sayings we used and called them” rules”. This was a good one and quite popular. We were a “surfers surfshop” fo sho!

C9 boardriders/ Surf Angels dominating the Vans Masters a few years back. The first and best original team from Siargao island and tops in SE asia at the time. Our team dominated the scene on Siargao for many years before all the “ johnny come latelys” appeared. Some have left us and others remain but C9 will never die! I was the first american surfer to build a home on the small island of Siargao. This was my second home i built for the kids and myself at Kapu not far from Cloud 9.You could swim just out front, i am standing on the beach.
