NISU-QUINTO-TBI has successfully participated in the Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week 2024 in Western Visayas held @ University of Antique, Sibalom, Antique. This event provided the university with a wonderful opportunity to showcase commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation within our community. Engaging with fellow participants, sharing insights, and learning from the diverse array of projects and ideas presented.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bobby D. Gerardo, University President and the Office of the Vice President for Research and Extension through the leadership of Dr. Larry Deysolong for their unwavering support and for allowing us to represent our University at this prestigious event. Special thanks to Dr. Rosalie Dela Cruz, the outgoing KMITT Director, now the new Dean of College of Industrial Technology for sharing her product of research with Utility Model Certificate and to our TBI start-up, Ms. Jeny Olvido. NISU QUINTO TBI showcased their innovative products and research at the SUC Fair 2024 Mall de Zamboanga, attracting visitors from State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) across the Philippines. The event, hosted by Western Mindanao State University, served as a vibrant platform for SUCs to display their unique products, research, and groundbreaking innovations, as well as the diverse talents and skills of their start-ups, students and faculty.

The participation of NISU QUINTO TBI demonstrated the university's commitment to transformative innovation and entrepreneurship driving positive change in the region. The fair was attended by Dr. J. Prospero E. De Vera, Chairperson of CHED, who officially declared the event open and led the ribbon-cutting ceremony to launch the Innovation Exhibit and Demonstration.

1. Duly accomplished application form with necessary supporting documents.
-Business Plan/Feasibility Study;
-Applicant‘s resume/curriculum vitae;
-DTI registration certificate (or equivalent);
-Capital capacity evidence.
2. Applicants shall be interviewed by the TBI office.
3. Further, business plan assessments shall also be undertaken by the TBI Office.
4. Applicant’s proposed technology shall undergo verification.

NISU-Quinto-TBI joins the National Science and Technology Week and attended the "Startup Jam"

The National Science and Technology Week (NSTW 2023) is a celebration of science and the promotion of innovation, collaboration, and technological advancements in our nation. As part of the NSTW 2023, UMWAD Western Visayas with the DOST Region 6 and Fyrlab Accelerator conducted a “Startup Jam”, which took place on November 22 to 26, 2023, in Iloilo Convention Center, Iloilo Business Park, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. This is a series of sessions that showcase the ingenuity of our local talents and an opportunity to foster meaningful connections within the startup ecosystem. The QUINTO TBI was invited to be the TBI of the Day on November 25, 2023 and the event was attended by incubatees, as well as, faculty and staff.

NISU QUINTO TBI is joining the 7th TBI Summit and Philippine Startup Week 2023. The Philippine Startup Week is a nationwide conference that brings together the local startup community and aims to promote collaboration, innovation, and support for the growing Philippine startup ecosystem. The 7th TBI Summit, with the theme "Regional Startup Ecosystems: Nurturing Homegrown Startups," is organized by the Department of Science and Technology. The event engages startup founders, investors, corporates, academia, media, and government agencies to foster partnerships and boost deal flow. The event is scheduled to take place from November 20-24, 2023, and aims to highlight and strategically position the Philippines as an emerging investment hub for startups.
