FLAME Theater Arts in Education Program -
“BANAAG” (A Ray of Light) Teaser 🎭
“BANAAG” is a representation of seven young individuals’ self-expression alike headless chicken dancing in the dark searching for light (freedom, happiness, acceptance, elation, etc.) as they find their place and self-worth shaped by today’s image-based on society ending up confused and short in comparison to perceived ideals blown out of proportion in social media platforms. The image of perfection had fired up unrealistic versions of reality and false self-image that made their contrast-filled life appear pointless which made them question their existence and life’s purpose.

Gearing towards the artistic industry of Theatre, Television, Movie and Film Acting, FLP Artist Management (Frontline Production & Training Development Inc.) has established. It has started in conducting Acting and Personality Development Workshops to different institutions. The turn of events follow when Direk Rodel Mercado setup his own company, leaving his thirteen fruitful years in his corporate journey. Frontline Production & Training Development Inc. has been a realization of his passion in teaching and his arduous training in acting to which made him come up with molding new breed of actors. Putting up his own company has been eventually an application of his corporate management know-how that he has gained from the multinational companies he has been a part with.
In 2012 Frontline Theater Production was established and during its first year they focused on staging theater plays and talent discovery with emphasis in the craft of acting and theater production. Born out of the depths of passion to uplift and appreciate the gift of expression, the old theater production re-emerged as FRONTLINE THEATER AND EVENTS PRODUCTION on June 18, 2013. It was during this year that big events in and outside the Philippines happened - from the country’s successes in the world of pageantry to major concerts of local and international artists and even controversial events in the national political scene were highlighted. During that year, Direk Rodel and his small team continued staging theater productions and took the risk of jumping in the bandwagon of unchartered territory of events production.
Since then the industry’s demand grew. As they continue to affirm their passion, manifest imaginations and self expression, Frontline Production constantly aspire to deliver only the best and original to its clients and partners who invest their 100% trust in them.
On July 3, 2015, the team eventually was reborn to FRONTLINE PRODUCTION & TRAINING DEVELOPMENT, INC. Frontline expanded to a wider horizon and extended its services on training in acting, dance, personality development and production management. Soaring high with its new services, Frontline as a training center introduced Frontline Nihongo: “The Habitat of Nihongo Lingo” which helped us become a specialized training hub that pioneered in the Philippines the Graded Direct Method - a close to natural approach in language acquisition tailored for the daily life applications specifically for Japanese culture. Majority of its graduates have successfully obtained employment in Japan.
Frontline as a theater production has received different citations and nominations. In 2015 during the 28th Aliw Awards, “Mundo ng Ekek/7 Deadly Sins earned nominations for Best Director and Best Production for the New Concept Production category. The same production toured to different academic institutions nationwide capturing a wider audience. On December 2016, Frontline has reached another milestone and became the recipient of the Golden Globe Award for Business Excellence – Best in Production Company Category for the year 2016. Recently, at the Philippine Top Choice Awards for Excellence and Outstanding Achievers, which was held last February 3, 2017, Frontline was awarded the Top Choice Production Management and Training Development Center.
In the years to come, Frontline has committed to continue in providing festive and conceived creatives tailored to the unique needs of its clients. It would ensure that every creation will be feel good, fun filled and competently executed. For its students, as a training hub, Frontline promises to continue to uplift and open gainful avenues for the realization of their dreams and their families.
Being a family composed of young, competent, creative and passionate professionals who are dedicated to execute high-quality services, Frontline has become a company that everyone is looking forward to in the years ahead.
