AN OPEN LETTER TO MY LOW-MAINTENANCE FRIENDS:
Hereβs to our friendship that does not need everyday communication. Iβm thankful that I have you as my friend because you remain true. You stay with me even when things in my life are not going the way I planned them. Thank you for understanding that a lot of times Iβm trying to figure things out. Sometimes I donβt have the time and energy to talk to anyone. Thank you for checking up on me on random possibilities and times. We may not be that type of friends who talk to each other each and every day, but Iβm glad to have this friendship that grows and matures as time goes by.
I learned that friendship is not measured by how often you see or talk to each other because it is far more than that. To you, whoβs been there even when I donβt have the energy to communicate, to you who understand that my silent days are as important as the active ones, and to you who stay friends with me, proving that scarcity of communication isnβt a gorge that divides a true friendship, thank you. I hope that you are okay, but if not, I hope and believe that you will win that battle youβre currently dealing with. Always remember that I am also here to listen if you need someone who would.
