MAO Staff visit Triple P farm at North Cotabato// Mayor Doandre Bill A. Ladaga's vision for agricultural development in the Municipality of Loreto involves the collection of superior varieties of priority crops in terms of economic signifance. Wilfreda R. Laid, Municipal agriculturist; Thelma P. Berador, Agriculturist II; Liza O. Reyes, Agricultural Technologist, Nicolas B. Cuadra Livestock Technician and Danilo Opeña composed the team who visited Triple P Farm at North Cotabato. The team was gracefully welcomed by the Mr. Joseph Anthony Pamplona, General Operations Manager and his wife Mrs. Krizelle Pamplona. They were very accommodating to tour the team at their nursery production site where propagated seedlings are grown and brought us to 3 different orchard sites. They were also kind to share their cultural practices in managing orchards. Mr. Joseph Pamplona son of Dr. Pablito P. Pamplona, known for his expertise in pomology, aspires for technology transfer to small scale farmers. He shared with us their nursery management and cultural practices while Ms. Krizelle Pamplona discussed the economic side of fruit production. The trip wouldn't be complete without tasting the J33 jackfruit, nam hom coconut variety, Magallanes pomelo and tupig, a Kidapawan delicacy. Furthermore, a sumptuous lunch was given to the team, all thanks to Mr. And Mrs. Pamplona's generosity.
