Peaceful and kind, your presence inspires,
Even in challenges, your strength never tires.
Time ticks by, yet your bonds remain true,
Every moment with you feels like home anew.

The silver lining and a hopeful mind.

The District In-Service Training for Teachers on November 29 to 30, 2024, held at Delfin Albano Cultural and Sports Center emphasized that teachers never stop learning.

The two-day event, aimed to enhance the skills and methods of teachings of the educators, featured sessions that not only provided strategies that can be applied inside the classroom but also gave the teachers an opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of the learners.

Public Schools District Supervisor, Rhodora G. Tagacay, highlighted the importance of empathy in teaching.

"If you do not trust yourself, who is gonna trust you?," she said, reminding teachers that if they don’t believe in their own capabilities, no one else will.

Moreover, Tagacay urged the attendees to teach with confidence and compassion both inside and outside the classroom and to treat every day as an opportunity to give their best, as if it were their last.

The training concluded by reaffirming that teaching is a continuous process of learning, underscoring that educators themselves must understand and connect with their students to grow and excel in their profession.

The lessons you taught, the dreams you inspired,
Are now the fuel to which I’ve aspired.
Those hopes and goals you’ve helped me see,
Are shaping the best version of me.

A guiding light,
You’ve shaped my way.
You help me shine each day,
Even with no cape or superpower on display.

The words you say will stay with me,
A source of endless serenity.
Every moment with you, I cherish;
These memories, I'll never let perish.

You've given more than I could ever ask for;
A treasure one that we truly adore.
You make learning fun,
In doing so, you are helping us become someone.

I am not who I am today without you,
Nor without the teachings I've learned through you.
You're a candle willing to burn,
To share a gift too special to discern.

Like lanterns illuminating our way,
Your sacrifices inspire us everyday.
Your lessons is a brushstroke on our canvas,
Helping us paint the future that awaits us.

Through stormy trials and cloudy days,
You are calm, our constant rays.
So, for those, I'm forever grateful,
Your hard work is the foundation of our future.

DAMSASHS dethrones SANHS' 11-year reign in football

Delfin Albano (Magsaysay) Stand-Alone Senior High School (DAMSASHS) clinches the football crown, ending SANHS’ eleven-year supremacy.

For years, SANHS has consistently dominated other schools in sports within the Delfin Albano district, particularly in football.

Initial encounters have seen rivalry between the two, with SANHS outperforming DAMSASHS, sweeping the finals and proving to be unrivaled.

In the first game of the two schools in the first day of Delfin Albano Municipal Athletic Association (DAMAA) Meet 2024, September 7, Edrian Pablo of DAMSASHS scored a dagger in the first five minutes of the game, gaining them a headstart against their rival that eventually secured them a win, 1-0.

In their second game, however, DAMSASHS suffered another defeat by the hands of their foe.

To add salt to injury, DAMSASHS scored in the first half of the game yet was unable to end up victorious due to SANHS' strike in the second half, 1-1.

This resulted in a penalty shoot-out in which SANHS futboleros triumphed, 2-1, maintaining their dominance in the field.

The schools clashed again at SANHS' oval on September 14, with the game featuring numerous near misses and close calls, ultimately leading to a scoreless first half and a timeout.

The game resumed, and in the second half, a yellow card violation was committed by Nowitski Ivan Medrano of SANHS, earning DAMSASHS a penalty kick.

Andrei Evangelista, did not waste the opportunity to convert SANHS' penalty into a goal, sealing their victory and ending the 11-year reign of SANHS in football.

DAMSASHS kickers will be representing the Municipality of Delfin Albano in the upcoming Area Meet.

DAMSASHS holds symposium on Child Protection and Anti-Bullying Policies

In accordance with DepEd Order No. 40, series of 2012, also known as the DepEd Child Protection Policy, Delfin Albano (Magsaysay) Stand-Alone Senior High School (DAMSASHS) conducted an orientation on the Child Protection Policy this morning, September 13.

The program, comprising the Grade 11 students, started with the orientation of the school's student handbook discussed by Sir George R. Labayog Jr., Master Teacher I.

He elaborated that the student handbook serves as a resource document of the rules and guidelines of the school. It also contains the Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Mandate of DepEd.

Moreover, the handbook will serve as a record of violations committed by the students during their time in the school.

In addition, the Grade 11 Guidance Counselor Designate, Ma'am Gerly Mae P. Canceran, talked about DepEd's Child Protection Policy.

During her discussion, she emphasized the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for students, reiterating that there will be no tolerance for any act of violence, exploitation, discrimination, or other abuse against children.

On the other hand, Ma'am Florence A. Cauan, Grade 12 Guidance Counselor Designate, delved into the DepEd Order No. 55, series of 2013 ”Implementing Rules and Regulation” (IRR) of Republic Act No. 10627 or the ”Anti-Bullying Act of 2013.”

She discussed all forms of bullying including cyber bullying, social bullying, and gender-based bullying as well as highlighted the different effects of bullying to students.
