Exploring Northern Mindanao’s Farming Journeys!

In collaboration with the Ati Northern Mindanao, we traveled to Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Misamis Occidental to capture inspiring stories of transformation. We met individuals who were once a professor, a government employee, and an overseas worker — but who have now followed their passion for agriculture.

With the support of various government agencies, especially the ATI-RTC X, their dreams of becoming full-fledged farmers have come true. Today, they thrive in their new roles and are eager to pass on their knowledge to fellow farmers.

As one of them beautifully put it: “Wherever we go in life, we will always end up relying on farming.”

This commitment to excellence has elevated not only the quality of local coffee but also opened new markets, bringing significant improvements to the livelihoods of our coffee farmers.

As we approach International Coffee Day this October, we are honored to collaborate with DTI Davao del Sur to present a short teaser for their much-anticipated Coffee Fiesta, happening on October 4-6.

The week was a whirlwind of activity, featuring insightful seminars, hands-on workshops, and bustling Tienda Caraga booths that highlighted the products of our local MSMEs. Presidential Awardees were also recognized, embodying the power of meaningful entrepreneurship.

It was a fantastic platform for MSMEs, stakeholders, and sectors to unite, share ideas, and inspire growth. 🌱📈

Capturing Empowerment: WEE-SAFE Project for BaSulTa, BARMM

We had the privilege of documenting the recent forum on Inclusive Business Models and Renewable Energy Transition in the WEE-SAFE Project. This initiative aims to transform opportunities for marginalized women, youth, and Indigenous people in the agri-fisheries sector of the BARMM island provinces (Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi or BaSulTa).

Our team captured insightful discussions from industry leaders in solar power, fish processing, coffee, coconut, and seaweed. These experts shared strategies for integrating these communities into inclusive economic activities, promoting sustainable growth, peace, and climate change resilience.

Here's a glimpse of the collaborative efforts to build resilient local economies and foster long-term stability in the region. 🌱🤝

A GAME CHANGER TO PRODUCE HIGHER YIELDS 🍫🌱

For many years, the Cacao industry has been seeing a boost in its production and more organizations are determined to augment and maximize the country's contribution to the Cacao global market.

With this, DTI Region XII, through its RAPID Growth Project, partners with the country's National Research Center for Cacao — the University of Southern Mindanao - Kabacan Main Campus, in the knowledge transfer of Cacao Polyclonal Farming methods to local farmers.

USM has been actively promoting the Cacao Polyclonal Farming method to help farmers unlock the full potential of their cacao farms in terms of quantity & quality.

As a testament to this, USM has been growing 10 out of the 13 recommended cacao clones by the National Seed Council in its demo farm — 2 of which are remarkably produced by USM itself!

Diving into 2024 with a splash at PALAWAN! 🌊🏝️

Known as the Philippines' Last Frontier, it surely is one of the World's Best Islands! 🌴🏝️🌊

Our 10-day island-hopping-slash-work trip took us through the wonders of Puerto Princesa, Linapacan, and Coron.

Living the island life to the fullest, we partnered with Patuyo Island Experience – a tranquil oasis just a breezy 20-minute boat ride from Linapacan. Bonus: It's not just a vacation spot; its owners are creating a budding social enterprise to help the local community!

And, as if never wanting us to leave, Coron stole our hearts with its beautiful limestone cliffs, turquoise lagoons & enchanting lakes! 🚣‍♂️

Sure, the journey to this paradise was no joke – but who wouldn't take a trip back to Palawan in a heartbeat? ✈️

Keeping Quiet Places Quiet

Having been raised on a Municipality that is surrounded with nature gave me a deep appreciation when it comes to the environments natural beauty. Growing up, that feeling deepened and it brought me to a lot of places. In this page, I will be sharing these travels through photos and videos, and hopefully give justice to the majestic beauty of Mother Nature and reach every person that visits this page to really appreciate where we’re at and take care of what we still have.

I am up for tourism but sometimes irresponsible management destroys these natural places. That’s why whenever I wander and find a spot where natural beauty thrives, I never reveal their locations when I post them online. This way, I can help preserve its magic by keeping quiet places quiet.

To summarize my intentions, really: There are a lot of good people in this world and I just want to be one of them.
