New Season means new anime to watch. And what anime genre to start with this love month is some school romance anime! Honey Lemon Soda was at my radar even before this season started because of its huge praise online which piqued my interest and yes, so far it didn't fail me.

Story:
I like it. Though I have some personal concerns about it but it does not affect my viewing experience. Actually, I resonate with Uka. I was once a victim of bullying and it was not easy to gain friends and confidence level was so low but I had the courage to step up and change regardless of what people think of me.

Uka has her reasons for being like that and I like her fighting spirit into changing into better, of course with the help of her new found friends. The story let's us see how someone grows out of dark times, and gives hope that you can be what you are and find your own place with the people who will appreciate you for being you.

Animation:
J.C. Staff nailed the animation from the manga. Those who bashed the hell out of its first key visual release are sore losers now. 🤣 I like the OP and ED as well, very wholesome and all those scenes in the manga were adapted well.

Characters:
I love Uka. Period. Kai, I still have questions but maybe it will be answered in the coming episodes. I do wish he doesn't lead Uka on coz Imma get mad.
Every side character makes up for Uka's decision which I really like. They're not just cardboard cutout characters that have little to no flesh of their story.

Overall, if you want your wholesome school anime this season with full of hopes and friendship, this is for you. I really recommend it especially to my shoujo peeps that wants to have that sweet experience.

I haven't covered Season 1 last year as I feel like I can't express my thoughts well since the last episode of that season shocked me and instead waited for their Season 2 in order to collectively summarize my feelings and thoughts about it. Castlevania Nocturne was a series that came from a game in which I haven't played at all.

But without referencing everything from the games, I feel like it has its own flavours that people should see. You see, what makes the show appealing is not just the high end actions and animations, or the voice acting and atmosphere it introduces to it's viewers but rather the characters themselves and their background, motives, and feelings in which there is no all powerful being here and everyone gets beaten up and would bounce back to win.

Richter Belmont's character was not immediately built as a powerful MC or gigachad of some sorts. He started from the bottom and concealed his powers due to unfortunate events of her mother dying by the hands of a vampire to being stronger than ever in Season 2 thanks to his motivation; you know who, of course it's Annette! I already believed from Season 1 that they are going to be canon and yes, it is! 😍😂

Okay, back to the review. I really loved the improvements they have in Season 2. Season 1 was admittedly not the best, but it has its shinning moments too that brought us to where we are now in Season 2. The story, the atmosphere, the character developments, the ANIMATION?! it's freaking cool and watching the new season felt like a literal 5 minutes for me. It was a wise decision not to rush things and let everything drop and cook in the last 2 episodes in order to sympathize and root for the characters we still want to live and die. Hand down to Adam and Sam Deats for how well directed every episode of Season 2 was and also Season 1. I can't thoroughly explain how it really is good but seeing the animators and storyboards of season 2 sharing their arts and experiences in the process of making this season in X was so fun to see, and of course the lovely memes we have.

I know i'm praising it a lot and maybe some don't dig into the story but I really recommend for you guys to check it out yourselves. I can't spoil much but reviews and post from various people can attest of how good the series is, especially Season 2. Alucard fans are gushing right now to be honest. 🤭😏

Anyway, go watch it now on netflix and let's push the Season 3!
