rahim Paglas Memorial College (DIPMC) was formerly; Datu Paglas Educational Development (DPED), a private college established at the municipality of Datu Paglas, Province of Magundanao. The emergence of this institution started in the preparatory events pursued with dedication and determination by a muslim professionals, like; Mr.Abdula Maguid Tangkli and Mr. Camidon Mamalintaw who initiated and conceived the idea of establishing the college, an institution of learning in tertiary level that will cater the educational needs of the Bangsamoro; Muslim, Christians and Indigenous people. During the height of enrolment period in the Elementary level of Datu Paglas way-back in School Year-1999-2000 They organize conveners for the establishment of the said institution. The second round meeting was attended by Mr. Camidon M. Mamalintaw as the chairmanof the conveners; Datu Abubakar P. Paglas, Local Chief Executive, Prof. Aboud Syed Mansur Lingga, Late Abdula M. Tangkli, Haman D. Abubacar, Late Esmael Abdula, Late Renato Aguere, Late Abraham Manebped, Late Hassan M. Candungan and Udtog Kawit Al-hadj. After which were Series of consultation took place. The plan for opening of college on Academic Year (AY) 2000-2001 did not prosper because of financial constraint and unstable peace and order condition in Central Mindanao as a result of the all-out war policy of the ousted President, ERAP Estrada against the M**F. March 17, 2002, general assembly was held at the Home Economic (HE) building in Datu Paglas Central School Compound. The meeting was successful thru the efforts and support of Prof. Badria Kusain Talembo member of the Board of Trustees, now the first Dean of College, and Administrator, Haman D. Abubacar, Alonto P. Abpi, Engr. Ano B. Alimanan, Brgy Chairman Abubacar Naco, Brgy. Chairman Sanggutin P. Aguil, Abdulkair "Thong" Nalg, Dr. Benjamin Dumato and other member of the convener in formulating the formal opening of classes on Academic Year (AY) 2002-2003. The formal opening was pursued thru Board Resolution No. 01, s-2002, in coordination and support of the local Government Unit (LGU) thru SB Resolution no. 35, S-2002. Endorsing the opening of college classes on June 17, 2002 with four (4) Academic courses offered, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (BEED), and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) The institution was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). On June 13, 2005, the Administration of Datu Ibrahim Paglas Memorial College operate the Pre-Elementary; Kinder I & II, thru the efforts of the Program Coordinator, Zukarno P. Hadjinor, MPAIM and the Dean of College, Badria K. Talembo, Ph D. The same year, the Associate in Computer Technology ACT) and Hotel and Management (HRM) was opened on Academic Year (AY) 2005-2006. These new courses were registered with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). Since administration of college has changed under the leadership of the newly elected President, Datu Mohammed Youssef P. Paglas, took over the position of late Camidon M. Mamalintaw. With this development, the success of institution has been achieved. To this effect, more developments has been achieved. The main campus sprawls on a three (3) hectare-land; and one (1) hectare donated by the late Camidon M. Mamalintaw, First President of the college. Another Two (2) hectare purchased by the college administration thru the efforts of the incumbent President, Datu Mohammed Youssef P. Paglas and his Father Ex-Mayor, Datu Ibrahim "Toto" Pendatun Paglas III; in the amount of Three Hundred Thousand (300,000.00) Pesos. Another efforts, was the constructions of Three (3) Unit 9 Classroom Buildings donated by JOHN SLIUS, A Philantropist . The constructions of one (1) unit 2-classroom building thru the efforts of Honorable Mayor, Datu Mohammad P. Paglas Al-hadj. The Campus ideally traversing the town proper of Datu Paglas, Maguindanao, along the National Hi-ways connecting the cities of Tacurong and Davao. It is bounded in the East by the Municipality of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat, in the west by the Municipality of Buluan, Maguindanao and the North by the Municipality of Tulunan, North Cotabato. Working linkage with: the local and foreign agencies were to be established with the end in the view of strengthening the institute capability. Notable among the linkage agencies; Local Government Unit (LGU), Datu Paglas, Maguindanao. Authonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), Paglas Group of Company (PAGCORP), La Frutera (LFI). Alip River Development and Export Corporation (ARDEXCOR), Asian Rural Life Foundation, Inc., TESDA, CHED, DepEd, Australian Embassy, Japanese Chamber of Commerce in Mindanao, the American investors and Individual Donors, like; the Paglas clan and Edgar L. Bullecer of Paglas Corporation, Unifrutti , Philippines Business for Social Progress, Pilipino Banana Growers and Exporters Association and the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines . June 20, 2008 was the establishment of DATU IBRAHIM PENDATUN PAGLAS III FOUNDATION, INC (DIPPFI),a month before the death of Late Datu Toto Paglas waived his presidency to his eldest son , Datu Mohammed Youssef P. Paglas , now the President of the foundation and the college. For continued progress, in behalf of the whole populace of DIPMC, we support the banner of late Mayor Datu Ibrahim "Toto" Pendatun Paglas III, "Bawal ang Tamad sa Datu Paglas" God willing Insha Allah. At present, the school had five (5) major departments, the Pre- School, Elementary, Secondary, College, Technical Vocational and the Madaris headed and run by BADRIA K. TALEMBO, Ph. D as the Administrator & the Dean of the College with the support of the Board of Trustees , the faculty , staff and the parents.
