Good day, DLSU-D community. On the evening of December 22, we released a Viewpoint opinion article written by our Executive Editor about the university’s loss of autonomous status from the Commission on Higher Education entitled "A reputation to restore: DLSU-D lost its autonomous status and how it affects you".

This article was an output for one of the subjects the author was taking this semester as a Digital and Multimedia Journalism (DMJ) student. DigiSalle is an independent platform founded by the pioneer batch of DMJ. It was created so that Journalism students could showcase their works to the public which is why the article was published here. The article was also published for the purpose of informing the student body about the issue.

On the same day, the article was removed in our social media platforms and our website. We would like to inform everyone that it was the sole decision of the author to publish it and also her sole decision to take it down.

This was because she has been made aware that there were lapses made in the creation of the article, such as the lack of other sources to back certain claims and citation of data among others. In line with this, it was deemed best by the author to take the article down to take accountability as a student practicing responsible journalism.

We would like to ask for your understanding regarding this matter and we will do our best to learn from our errors. Thank you.

| The image of the school uniform and dress codes have historically been instruments of social control, designed to enforce a sense of discipline and hierarchy within educational institutions. However, these very methods and mechanisms for control have often become a platform for resistance, sparking debates over gender expression, cultural identity, and class disparities. This article delves deep into the phenomenon of school uniforms as a symbol of going against conformity and the status quo within the education system.

LOOK: On November 25, DigiSalle and DLSUD 95.9 Green FM held a three-year partnership contract signing right inside the Green FM radio studio.

Representing DigiSalle are Gwyneth Aristo, (Executive Editor) and Russell Aguila (Digital Managing Editor).

The contract is also signed by Ian Flores, Green FM's Senior Director for Programming and Internal Affairs along with Josh Macaraeg, his Junior Director, and Cazzandra Lacman — Green FM's Junior Director for Externals.

The signing was presided by the chairperson of the Communication and Journalism Department (CJD) of DLSU-D, Ms. Isolde Valera. And of course, the station manager of Green FM and full-time faculty in CJD, Mr. Artin Umali.

The entire DigiSalle team is grateful for Green FM for this opportunity and we look forward to fulfilling this partnership together.

We believe that journalism should not be limited, and as Digital and Multimedia Journalism students, this is another step in developing the world of media organizations inside the university.

[FEATURE] Panag-Apoy is a case of a cultural amalgamation resulting from the mixture of Anglican and Igorot cultures. It is a testament to how the Igorots, whom the Spanish never conquered and desperately wanted to convert to Catholicism, eventually accepted the inevitable when the American missionaries arrived in the 1900s.
