Let's all give a TOAST for the BIRTHDAY of the one and only Elementary department's principal, Mrs. Maricita B. Jacoba!🎉🎁🎈✨

On this day, the family of SJCSI celebrates with cheers and warm wishes for we are grateful to join you on your special day. It is truly a blessing and a gift that we were given a teacher like you. Wisdom and knowledge is not the only thing you taught us, we also learned to love, to be kind, and to be grateful for every little thing. You put your faith in us which touched our souls and you made it possible because you are not only a teacher but also a friend, a second parent, and a family to us.

May you always have your positive outlook in life which radiates to your surroundings. May you continue to share knowledge and earn wisdom that will make your days more meaningful and fun. Lastly, May God grant you more of these joyous moments that you will live your life to the fullest without worries. Once again, we greet you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Ma'am Jacoba!💙

Buwan ng Wika Meets New Leadership: Exciting Crossover Event at St. John’s Cathedral School’s Elementary Department

August 30, 2024 — The Elementary Department embraced Buwan ng Wika with a series of activities designed to celebrate the national language and promote its appreciation among young learners. Held at the Sto. Niño Gymnasium, the event kicked off with a vibrant assembly featuring traditional performances from each grade level, highlighting the rich tapestry of Filipino culture.

Since its first observance in 1997, Buwan ng Wika has promoted the preservation and revitalization of the Filipino language. This year, with the theme “Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya,” educators aimed to honor the role of the Filipino language as an instrument for change and liberty.

Additionally, the event was a collaboration between the Elementary Filipino Department and the Supreme Pupil Government, as new leaders took the stage in a spirited ceremony. Newly elected SPG and classroom officers were inducted into their roles as leaders. While the induction ceremony concluded with celebratory receptions, it also served as a reminder of the crucial role student involvement plays in shaping the future of the school environment.

Community Gathers for a Mass: Johannines Bid Welcome to the New School Year

August 20, 2024 — In a soul-stirring display of community spirit, Johannines from elementary to senior high school gathered for a Community Mass on Tuesday to usher in the new school year. Held at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral, the Community Mass brought together students, educators, and parishioners in a collective gathering of reflection and felicitations for the unfolding school year.

Rev. Msgr. Manuel S. Bravo Jr. led the service with his inspirational homily, inclining the Johannines to keep their heads high whilst holding the values taught at St. John’s in esteem and high regard. The mass included prayers for a triumphant school year and invocations for the community’s growth and safety. The mass went smoothly and came to a dignified and tranquil close with a hymn for the Our Lady of Manaoag.

Let us step into this school year with tenacity and elation — great things are on the horizon!

So, what are you waiting for? Show what is hidden and face it with confidence.

SJCS S.Y. 2024-2025 ORIENTATION FOR GRADES 9 & 10: JOHANNINES FEELING SO HIGH SCHOOL AT THE FIRST WEEK HIGH! | Part 2 of 2
As the summer vacation ends in a blink of a crinkling eye, students from Grades 9 and 10 grace the halls and classrooms of St. John's Cathedral School, Incorporated once again for the school year 2024-2025. Today's event commenced at 10 a.m. at the Sto. Niño Gym, with the school's own Performing Arts Guild (PAG) providing entertainment for the students, and the classroom orientations going forth before the main event due to the bad weather this morning. But nonetheless, the students' enthusiasm for today's event did not flatter as their arms entwined with their friends and their cheeks pink from all of the laughter shared under the twinkling lights of the Sto. Niño Gym as the event finally came to an end.
