JUSTIN AND THE MANIDE. With handheld lights illuminating, 100 Manide kids from Capalonga and Labo towns gamely sing along with US-based artist Justin Esmer, 21, in a touching rendition of the song “Buwan” on Saturday evening, December 28, at Icon8 Superclub in Daet town in Camarines Norte province.
Esmer — the headliner of the inceptive “Concert for the Manide Cause” — showcased his rock and R&B influenced repertoire in an electric set highlighted by his original compositions like the dancey “Good Girl” and his latest release “Achilles Heel” among others.
His father Roger, founder of Our Kids 4 Kids Vision — the organization responsible for conceptualizing the event, is a native of Daet prior to emigrating abroad.
The Manide tribe is considered as the oldest surviving indigenous people in Bicol Region who mainly live in the highlands of Camarines Norte.

Dahil sa magandang panahon ay magsasagawa ng stop and go scheme sa one lane passable landslide site sa Sitio Paraiso,Brgy.Rizal, Sta.Elena, Camarines Norte ngayong araw ng Linggo, December 29.
Ito ay upang bigyan daan ang pagtanggal sa nalalabing gumuhong lupa sa kalsada at tuluyang magamit ang dalawang lanes nito.

ABISO MULA SA DPWH CNDEO:
Sa kasalukuyan ay NOT PASSABLE sa lahat ng uri ng sasakyan ang Maharlika Highway sa Sitio Paraiso, Brgy.Rizal, Sta.Elena, Camarines Norte dahil sa pagguho ng lupa dito ngayong hapon, December 25.
Inaabisuhan ang mga motorista na papasok at lalabas ng Camarines Norte na pansamantalang gamitin ang Andaya/Quirino Highway sa Camarines Sur.
Hindi ipinapayo sa ngayon ang pagdaan sa alternate route na Sta.Elena-Capalonga Bypass Road dahil madilim dito at lubhang madulas ang daan.
Kumikilos na po ang maintenance personnel at mga equipment ng DPWH CNDEO upang kaagad na matanggal at malinis ang nasabing pagguho.
