𝐀𝐠𝐄𝐃 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐧-𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐄𝐱𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒
𝗔𝗚𝗚𝗜𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗕𝗟𝗔𝗭𝗘𝗥 𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 | The Agricultural Education Unit of the College of Agriculture - University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Claveria hosted the On-Campus Teaching Internship Exit Conference 2024, today, April 3 at the CA Smart Room. The event marked a significant milestone for ten (10) fourth-year Practice Teachers pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Agricultural Education.
Under the leadership of Internship Supervisor Ms. Marinella C. Nagal, LPT, and Agricultural Education Coordinator Ms. Jackielyn U. Abao, LPT, MAED, the Practice Teachers presented their experiences and reflections on their On-Campus Training. The conference was attended by esteemed USTP Claveria Cooperating Teachers from various departments.
Among the distinguished attendees were Dr. Argin A. Gulanes, Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services; Prof. Ramil C. Pagon, Director of Arts and Culture; and Cooperating Teachers from the College of Arts and Sciences, including Ms. Marydil Gayloa, LPT, Mr. Melchor T. Allado, LPT, and Ms. Myca Jean Labastida, LPT. Representing the College of Agriculture were Mr. Cyril John C. Nagal, LPT, MSc, Director of the Admission and Scholarship Office, along with Ms. Gia L. Cuizon, LPT, Mr. Jan Brylle Galarion, RA, MSc, and Mr. Paul Nino Icalina, RA.
The conference served as the culmination of the Practice Teachers' journey in their On-Campus Training, providing them with valuable insights and feedback before embarking on their Off-Campus Internship at Mat-I National High School. This final academic requirement for the program, facilitated through the course AgED 429 (Practice Teaching), will serve as a pivotal steppingstone for their future careers in agricultural education.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude to all those involved in facilitating the Practice Teachers' learning journey, emphasizing the collaborative effort between the university and the cooperating institutions. As the Practice Teachers prepare to transition to their Off-Campus Internship, they carry with them the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained during their time at USTP Claveria, ready to make a positive impact in the field of agricultural education. .ED
