Preparing the Land for Legume Plantation! 🌱

Students from Lamac NHS took an important step towards sustainability with the 'Emersion Activity: Land Preparation for Legume Plantation.' The event focused on teaching essential agricultural skills as participants prepared the soil for the growth of legumes, an eco-friendly crop that enriches the soil and provides valuable nutrition.

Through hands-on learning, students gained a deeper understanding of sustainable farming practices, teamwork, and the crucial role legumes play in both food security and environmental health. Together, we are sowing the seeds for a greener, more resilient future!" 🌱

Growing Together: LMPC Teams Up with Lirongan Farmers for Better Markets

In Lirongan, Bukidnon, something big happened: LMPC joined forces with local farmers to improve farming. They talked about selling good carrots, potatoes, and other crops to LMPC.

At the meeting, both sides wanted more than just business. Farmers shared their hopes and struggles, and LMPC promised fair deals and help with selling crops.

The Lirongan High Value Vegetable Farmers Association is supported by the Department of Agriculture Region 10 and part of the Agro Enterprise Clustering Approach(AECA) in partnership with the Jollibee Group Foundation.The farmers are being clustered to become competitive Agripreneurs and gain access to the markets.The (LHVFA) is the association visited during the AECA Intermediate Course last February 2024 in Cagayan.

For the farmers, this meant a chance for better lives and futures. For LMPC, it was about helping local farmers and getting good produce for its markets.

LMPC also visited farms to see how farmers work and what they need. This made them understand each other better.

They are now very interested to become members of Lamac MPC to avail the different programs and services especially the Agri programs by the cooperative.

At the end of the day, it was clear that this partnership could bring good things for everyone. It shows how working together can make farming and selling crops better for everyone involved.
