STARS AND SCANDALS IN SEATS

With integrity at a crossroads, what does it really take to serve?

A SEA OF DREAMS, A SINGLE ROWBOAT

Ocean's bounty, their livelihood's art,
Boats, silent tales of a seafaring heart.
In dreams' vast expanse, a solitary sight,
One rower's journey, a quest through the night.

WHISPERING IN THE SILENCE

Every word that isn't spoken.
A binding plea,
The lost echo between you and me.
But in the stillness the feeling remains.
Unwritten lines in an endless maze.

A blinding light for the baby Cobras to take a break after an exhausting semester!

The last few days have been like a sweet burst of happiness for the baby Cobras, while the upperclassmen Cobras are still in the thunder and coldness of the corridors and rooms.

Upperclassmen have been in the campus doing all the backlogs and retake exams for the 1st semester whereas baby Cobras are enjoying the warm feeling of being home for their academic break.

Enjoy your academic break baby Cobras! Every class is a step closer to what we have dreamed of, keep pushing upperclassmen Cobras as to all these efforts will make a life sweeter!

Eyes here, Cobras!

The University of the Philippines Cebu (UP Cebu) invites everyone to join us for this year's 𝗨𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁 with the theme "𝗟𝗔𝗪𝗢𝗗: 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗴𝗶𝘁, 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗱𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗴𝗶𝘁!" on 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, starting at 𝟱 𝗣𝗠.

As an annual event since 1980s born out of a need to break through the "political nothingness" in UP Cebu, this year's Lawod 2024 segments will explore the struggles and the Filipino experience under the weight of imperialism, depicting the lasting impacts of foreign influence in a night of cultural resistance for the masses. Join the event as we confront these realities, and reclaims our stories through creativity and courage.

This year part of the proceeds from UP Cookout will go to our beneficiary, Karapatan - Central Visayas, supporting their initiatives to uphold human rights and the freedom of political prisoners in the Philippines. Experience a night of music, culture, and art, where every performance tells a story of struggle and resistance.

THE SMALL THINGS WE CAN DO

Small things we can do,
I know everyone knows,
But I'm here to remind you:

Life offers so much;
But don't let spite rule you.
