# MAAYO Eye Center: Unveiling a new vision for a reliable and comprehensive eye care in Cebu

The Hospital at Maayo (THAM) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to formally launch their rebranded eye clinic, the Maayo Eye Center (MEC), last November 14, 2024. This development marked a crucial step in expanding and improving eye care services for eye care patients all over Cebu.

The opening was led by Maayo Eye Center’s unit head: Dr. Earl du Junnan Sarabosing Ophthalmologist, and medical director of The Hospital at Maayo, Dr. Lawrence Chad Liu along with the team of MEC, medical representatives, and fellow unit heads of THAM who witnessed this momentous occasion.

Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort was illuminated with lights and adorned with parols during the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony along with the opening of the Balay Pasko and the introduction of the Painitan station.

Geeks on a Beach in Cebu on its 7th year

CEBU CITY— Geeks On A Beach (GOAB), a premier international tech startup conference in the Philippines where innovation and inspiration converge in one event, is back in Cebu on its 7th year, at the JPark Island Resort & Waterpark in Mactan Island, Cebu on November 13-15, 2024.

“Cebu is known for its economic growth and world-class beaches and is hence the perfect place to hold GOAB, an event that has taken the position as a critical pillar of the tech startup ecosystem in the Philippines and beyond,” Dave Overton, GOAB co-founding organizer, and Symph founder and CEO said.
