Water theme park in Cavite lights-up this yuletide season

TANZA, CAVITE (PIA) – Locals and even balikbayans will be amaze that the new and improved biggest water theme park in the province will give them a memorable and exciting experience for their holiday adventures.
The Villa Excellance Beach & Wave Pool Resort located in Barangay Sahud Ulan in this municipality formally lights-up last Saturday, November 23 their 48 feet giant Christmas Tree to public signalling the start Yuletide season. The public will enjoy the Christmas lights display from 6 pm onwards.
Mr. Rmin Arañas who represent the provincial government and the Provincial Tourism Office congratulated the men and women of this premier resort especially the owner Madam Cynthia Castro, Resort Chief Executive Officer Ms. Carlo Antonio Castro, and Board of Directors in unveiling the giant Christmas tree that illuminates this world class wave pool resort.
In his message, Mr. Arañas said that the “crisp air carries the scent of pine needles and cinnamon, a symphony of twinkling lights begins to fill the night, and joyous carols fill the air. It can only mean one thing: the season of giving and celebration is upon us!”
He added that “on behalf of our Governor Athena Bryana Tolentino and our Provincial Tourism Officer Ms. Elinia Imelda Rozelle Sangalang, we would like to express our deepest thanks to Villa Excellance for inviting us to this year's enchanted Christmas tree light-up event; a cherished tradition that marks the official start of the holiday season.”
With this year’s theme “Unveiling the waves of magic: An enchanted Christmas tree Light Up 2024 Rediscover the waves of magic this Holiday Season,” its reopening was a joyous and successful event, with Christmas carols and a Fire Dance performed by select groups of dancers from the municipality. Villa Excellance boasts an infinity pool, 3 wave pools, 4 slide pools, 51 villas, 371 day-use cottages, 3 restaurants outlets and the up-coming grand ball room. (RBF)

The energetic Mr. Malasakit also led the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displayed Workers (TUPAD) Program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) wherein, 1,106 beneficiaries received Php5,700.00. TUPAD is one of DOLE's programs that aims to help those who are unemployed and have lost their jobs amid the pandemic by providing them with ‘emergency employment’ of at least 10 days and not more than 30 days.

Senator Imee Marcos delivered her astounding message to more than 100 cooperatives across the regions at the Center for Community Development in Tagaytay City last Monday, November 25, 2024. During the media interview, Senator Marcos was quoted as saying that there is a need to amend the “Coop Act” to better serve the current social and economic needs of the cooperatives. She also mentioned that the current tax exemption is only Php10 million in the 1990s which is not appropriate in the current economic situation. Senator Imee Marcos who is the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Cooperatives, commended the significant contributions of cooperatives to economic empowerment and community building. “Your advocacy is vital, as you provide essential support to coop members and help them succeed,” Senator Marcos noted. “What makes your work unique is your social purpose. I am particularly impressed with the CCTFED, which, despite being relatively new, has already achieved remarkable progress in organizing and mobilizing cooperatives.”

City of Carmona, Cavite—Residents and local leaders in this city candidly welcome former DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos's visit last Friday, November 15, 2024, for the “Meet and Greet” gathering, aimed to expound on the significant accomplishments he made during his stint as chief of the DILG. City Mayor Dhalia Loyola together with barangay officials, city departments, NGOs, and religious groups welcomed the former DILG Secretary who expressed her admiration for his extensive contributions to public service as the latter also served as MMDA Chairman and a five-time mayor of Mandaluyong City. During the gathering, Mayor Loyola was quoted as saying that, “Samahan natin ang isang marangal at maaasahang lingkod bayan, ang dati nating Secretary ng DILG na naglingkod bilang MMDA Chairman at matagal na Mayor sa Lungsod ng Mandaluyong. Abalos also mentioned the outstanding performance of this city as the latter is the recipient of eight consecutive Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) awards. The Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) is an award, incentive, honor, and recognition-based program for all local government units (LGUs) and is a continuing commitment for LGUs to continually progress and improve performance in upholding the practice of transparency and accountability in the use of public funds.

Feeding program successfully implemented despite the confusion
Former Cavite First District Representative Francis Gerard “Blue Boy” Abaya who is now running for Mayor of Kawit appealed to his constituents regarding the confusion in the recent feeding program that was supposed to be set by the Abaya-Ramos tandem in Aguinaldo Elementary School grounds. Although the Abaya-Ramos forces immediately resolved the problem and quickly moved the program to the Villa Ramirez Covered Court in Tabon 1.
In their statement, the Team Abaya-Ramos appealed that the incident will not happened again adding that the that the government is represented and established to serve the Filipino people. “Sana nga ay di na maulit ito. Alalahanin ninyo na ang gobyerno ay nirerepresenta at itinatag para magserbisyo sa mamayang Pilipino. Sa madaling salita, ito ay para sa lahat. Hindi sa kung kaninong personalidad o partido lang.”

Senator Tolentino personally handed over prescription eyeglasses to one of the beneficiaries including dentures, wheelchairs, and essential vitamins and maintenance medicines to almost 300 beneficiaries including senior citizens of the said municipality. In his speech, Senator Tolentino was quoted as saying “It’s not common for dentures and eyeglasses to be given in medical missions like this, because these devices, aside from being quite expensive, require prior consultation and evaluation for the recipients.” Before his visit to Kawit, the team of the Senator went to Cavite City, Rosario, Noveleta, and his last stop was in Bacoor City. In his speech in Naic, Senator Tolentino mentioned the so-called “LITAW” (Liwanag, Internet, and Tubig, Assistance, and Welfare program) wherein, residents who were affected by natural calamities will not pay their dues, instead the government will shoulder the expenses.
