For this year's National Climate Change Consciousness Week (NCCCW) Celebration toward gender-sensitive responses to climate change themed Aksyon at Adaptasyon ng Makabagong Henerasyon, the CECC is organizing various gender-responsive activities aimed at inspiring participants to take action and answer the Climate Change Commission's call for Filipinos to make significant strides in building resilience to the ongoing challenges of climate change and to foster unity across generations for a cleaner, greener future.
Key activities for this celebration include an information dissemination caravan involving projects in partner communities and engaging PRMSU students in online competitions.

The PRMSU Castillejos Campus celebrated National Reading Month with a unique literary fashion show, "Wear What You Read," on November 22, 2024, at the Castillejos Covered Court.

Students creatively interpreted their favorite books through elaborate costumes, transforming the venue into a literary imagination. The event wasn't just a costume contest, participants also delivered captivating monologues as their chosen characters, adding an extra element to the fun.

This event was a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Society of Linguists, in collaboration with the College of Teacher Education and the PRMSU Castillejos Library.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗣𝗥𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗷𝗼𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝗦𝗢 𝟵𝟬𝟬𝟭:𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁

President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) Castillejos Campus is currently undergoing its ISO 9001:2015 Recertification Audit, conducted remotely via Zoom by SOCOTEC Certification Phil. Inc.

The certification scope includes the provision of tertiary education services, covering instruction, research, extension, production, support to operations, and administration.

Additionally, this audit seeks to confirm the continued conformity and effectiveness of PRMSU's management system while ensuring its relevance and applicability to the certification scope.

The audit is being led by Maria Fatima Mercurio as the lead auditor, and Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel, John Joseph Denoga, Merian Domingo, and Ingrid Manglapus as support auditors.

Key areas of evaluation include undergraduate studies with an emphasis on customer satisfaction, laboratory services (where applicable), and campus library services.

Additionally, the assessment covers student organization operations, campus property and supply management, the Scholarship Services Office, and the Guidance Counseling Center.

The Bachelor of Elementary Education program, chaired by Dr. Raymond Espiritu, has been pre-selected for a detailed review during the audit process.

Meanwhile, Masinloc, and Botolan are also scheduled for recertification audit.

The results of the audit are expected to further reinforce PRMSU’s dedication to excellence and its vision of being a proactive, learner-centered university in a digital and global society.

In an effort to cultivate openness and create spaces for new friendships, connections, and even budding romances, PRMSU Castillejos invites students to reveal their true selves at the upcoming INDAK 3.0 event. Set for November 29, 2024, at the PRMSU Castillejos Covered Court in Sitio Baring, San Nicolas, Castillejos, Zambales, the event promises to be a memorable masquerade ball titled "Veil of Elegance."

Organized by the Supreme Student Government in collaboration with other student organizations and Pukkaw Publications, the event serves as this year's induction, acquaintance, and semester-end celebration.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | The PRMSU Castillejos Campus conducted a faculty meeting to prepare for the upcoming ISO audits of specific delivery units, including the Campus Director's Office, the Bachelor of Elementary Education Department, Student Organizations, Campus Property and Supply Management Services, Scholarship Services, and the Guidance and Counseling Center.

The face-to-face audit is scheduled for November 20.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | PRMSU Castillejos (Cluster V) competed at the recently concluded 2nd President's Cup, held from November 11-13, 2024, at the PRMSU Main Iba Campus. This celebration of sportsmanship brought together various colleges from the main campus and satellite campuses, all competing for victory.

During the three-day event, PRMSU Castillejos participated in a range of sports, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, sepak takraw, and chess.

The PRMSU Castillejos Campus Chess Team is making waves in the 2nd President’s Cup, with top performer Matt John Santos securing Rank 3 with an impressive 4.5 points, keeping him in strong contention for a podium finish.

Jerome Ethan Sumook is positioned at Rank 26.

PRMSU Castillejos Campus currently stands at Rank 2 in the Team Cluster standings after Round 6. With three rounds remaining, the team is focused on securing a top position in the final tally.

Day 2 of the 2nd President’s Cup brought intense competition and memorable moments as athletes from PRMSU campuses showcased their skills and determination across multiple events.

PRMSU Castillejos Girls Volleyball Team Falls Short of Championship Bid

Despite a valiant display of effort and teamwork, the PRMSU Castillejos Campus was overpowered by CBAPA-CTHM, ending with a score of 2-1 (18-25, 29-27, 22-25) at the 2nd President’s Cup held at Amungan Covered Court, Amungan, Iba, on November 12.

Alicia Dicag and Rosemer L. Acosido led the charge for PRMSU Castillejos, with sets delivered by Cristine Julie Corpus.

𝗩𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 (𝗕𝗼𝘆𝘀)
PRMSU Volleyball Boys Finish the 2nd President’s Cup with a 1-2 Record

Amid schedule and venue changes, the 2nd President’s Cup Volleyball Tournament kicked off on November 12 at People’s Plaza, Botolan, featuring intense round-robin matches.

In their first match, PRMSU Castillejos Campus faced off against CCIT-CIT, suffering a narrow defeat with a score of 28-31.

In their next match, PRMSU Castillejos clashed with PRMSU Botolan (Cluster VII), securing an impressive victory, 31-20.

With a 1-1 record, PRMSU held a 4-point lead in the final match but ultimately fell short as CTE-CON claimed the win, 27-31.

Yap and Soquiap Settle for Second Place in Badminton Tournament

Divine Soquiap (Singles A) and Gemeima Yap (Singles B ) secured second place in the Badminton Tournament at the 2nd President’s Cup, held at the PRMSU Gymnasium on November 12.

Soquiap won the first set 21-16 but lost her lead as Elia Shekinah Guiang of PRMSU San Marcelino Campus (Cluster VI) took the remaining sets 12-21, 12-21.

Yap, competing in the championship match, fell to Rose Ann Baluyot of PRMSU Candelaria (Cluster IX) with a final score of 2-0 (15-21, 16-21), dashing her championship hopes.

Divine Andaya defeated Criszhae Echon from CON- CTE (Cluster IV) with a strong competitive performance in the Girls’ Singles B category for table tennis, winning 2-0 (11-5, 11-6) in today’s elimination match at the PRMSU Iba Gymnasium.

With this win, Andaya advances to the championship round, where she will face CBAPA-CTHM (Cluster I), aiming to capture the title.

The PRMSU Castillejos Volleyball Girls Team (Cluster V) has secured a decisive victory over the College of Teacher Education and College of Nursing (Cluster IV) in the single elimination round. Castillejos dominated the match, winning both sets with scores of 25-15 and 25-20.

They advance to the next round, with their upcoming opponent and match schedule to be announced soon.
