It's vital to have an experienced hiker in the group who can provide guidance in case of an emergency. Consider hiking with friends to discover hidden gems like Lake Holon in T'boli, South Cotabato.

Lake Holon is a natural wonder and one of the most stunning attractions in the Philippines. Surrounded by evergreen jungles, the lake is a paradise for nature enthusiasts.

The crystal-clear water is home to a diverse range of aquatic life, providing ample opportunities for fishing and other water-based activities.

Visitors can enjoy a multitude of activities at Lake Holon, including hiking, camping, and swimming. Although the hiking trail is not too difficult, it can take up to six hours to reach the summit.

However, the stunning views of the lake and its surrounding landscape make it worth the effort.
Camping near the lake is an unforgettable experience.

The campsite is situated in the midst of greenery, offering a fresh and relaxing ambiance. Visitors can enjoy a bonfire, stargazing, and storytelling with friends. Taking a swim in the cool and refreshing water of the lake is also a popular activity, especially on hot days.

‘MAKALIPONG SIGE UG TUYOK’

Noventa road starts at Km. 90 connecting Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur. The mountain range, commonly called “Iron Mountain” or “Red Mountain” due to its immense iron deposits and becomes reddish as seen from afar during daytime, sits on the old towns of Claver and Carrascal.

But anyone could not just reach the 120-year old Carrascal town without passing Novienta, or the most mysterious, exciting and scary road called Kilometer 90.

When it comes to seafood, Inihaw na Pusit or Calamari is always present in Filipino gatherings.

You can either grill, fry, stew squid like seafood salpicao and you have yourself an amazing dinner. Squid tends to have a mild flavor when cooked over medium heat.

If it's overcooked, it becomes rubbery and looses its unique taste.

Squid is a very healthy food to add to any diet.

Not only is squid low in carbs, but it's also high in protein and contains vitamins and minerals including Vitamin B-12, potassium, iron, phosphorus, and copper.

Ever since l started to seriously travel the Philippines seven years ago, I made it my goal to visit each province in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Aside from going to each province, l also aimed to share pictures of beautiful places I was blessed to visit here in social media and my travel blog.

Years passed by too fast. I've lost count of the provinces l've visited until recently when I took a step in CARAGA.

I haven't visited any province in this region before, so one after another | ticked each CARAGA province as we've finally managed to go here. And my 79th province? It's Dinagat Islands!

One of the smallest provinces in the country, Dinagat Islands is so underrated I honestly would want that to change.

Blessed with natural wonders such as white beaches, blue lagoons, and rock formations such as this in the municipality of Basilisa, the province of Dinagat Islands is a must-visit when you're already in the CARAGA Region of Mindanao!
