The year 1994 marks the first broadcast of a newly installed AM radio station in the To***co Capital of the Philippines, owned and operated by Tirad Pass Radio-Television Broadcasting Network, Inc and is a proud KBP member. Candon has long been established its tag as the center of trade and commerce in the Province of Ilocos Sur and DZTP became its main source for local news, information and entertainment.

DZTP 693KHz linked the surrounding provinces of La Union and Abra with programs focused on the social and cultural development of the Iluko community reaching almost 200,000 households.

DZTP693 strengthened its news division and targets to be the most advance news headquarters in the north utilizing the latest technology in news gathering.

DZTP693 now utilizes Radio DJ, a complete broadcast solution to ensure broadcast quality materials and 99% traffic accuracy. Also, a new team of monitoring is now in placed from sign on to sign off for digital records on air and proper logging.
