Lexter's in-depth research, focusing on "Preferred Measures and Willingness-to-Pay of Farmers for Improving Water Quality: A Case Study of Bagacay Mine in Taft River, Eastern Samar, Philippines," demonstrated a strong understanding of the issue, ultimately leading to his success.

i can feel the coldness in my bare
step aside, quit your stare
frowning—lock my thoughts
and shut my eyes off
the lingering image
of your siren orbs
poured me in a porridge
full of vivid hues

your salt and pepper hair
gently sway as air breathes
in knotted forehead, wrinkles show
time's gentle touch, a story to know
your green puffed sleeves—a face so stark,
your stillness drew me in, a chilling mark

OH, PLEASE DON'T CALL MY NAME

“axel”, oh heavens!
even her voice
ready to devour me with cranking noise
she sounded like a thunder—a tiger
she stared at me
like i am a sort of pawn
she spoke, “don't frown”

i stared back
heart pounding in my chest
ready to fire—put my fear to the test
she pointed a math problem close at hand
a twisted one, i understand
my bullet flew, bull's-eye!
“it's correct”, she painted smile

for a split second
her face took a turn
a different persona
a strange, newborn
a gentle smile, painted on her lips
a soothing voice, calming all my slips
a tap on my shoulder
a ruffle of hair
the familiar facade
mask of mother she'd wear

she's someone familiar
yet a mystery deep,
a quiet stranger
secrets she'd keep

she looked someone else, a comforting soft grace
not only a teacher, but a mother space

trese anyos pa lamang ako noong iniluwa't nilipad na sa himpapawid ang buka ng bibig na ako'y hahantong sa ibang kurso't hindi pipiliing maging g**o. hindi ko ninais na magising nang maaga't mauna pa sa tilaok ng manok, o kaya nama'y harapin ang mga makukulit na bata't pangaralan, dahil kung gaano kahaba ang aking buhok, ganoon din naman kaikli ang pasensyang nagkukubli sa sulok.

batid ko'y malaki ang ngisi ng kalangitan noong nagpasya ang tadhanang manipulahin ang roleta ng kapalaran, at tignan mo nga naman, ako'y nasa kolehiyo't piniling kurso ang pagiging g**o. hindi ba't nakatatawa? ang munting paslit noon na umiiling sa paghawak ng libro't pambura sa pisara, siya na ngayo'y nakaharap sa salamin, inaayos ang pulbos sa palad at kaunting dampi ng pulang tinta sa makapal na labi’t isususot ang itim na takong, lalabas nang nakangiti at may bitbit na, “balang araw, ako'y magiging ganap na tagapagturo”.

The College of Education of the Eastern Samar State University Can-avid, hosted a successful recruitment seminar and testimonial program with the theme, "Celebrating Future Teachers." The event was dedicated to the LET Passers, third-year, and fourth-year education students. The program kicked off with a lively motorcade led by the ESSUC Marching Band, showcasing the university's pride in its future educators.

The highlight of the event was a seminar led by the Education Program Specialist, Dr. Ernest D. Catubao. His talk, "Overview of Employment Opportunities and Insights into Hiring and Placement," provided valuable information and practical advice to help the aspiring educators navigate their way into their profession.

The afternoon session features the heartfelt and inspiring testimonials from the LET passers. They shared their experiences throughout their college student lives, graduation, review period, examination hours, up until the moment they received the news that they passed the LET Exam. Their words touched the hearts of aspiring educators, inspiring them to take on what's to come in their education journey.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to LET Passers, recognizing their achievement and signifying their readiness to embark on their teaching careers.

Axel Mellijor from the College of Education strikes linear, securing the first place in Math Bingo competition last September 26, 2024. Mellijor gave an impressive mathematical skills with a bit of luck on his side. Meanwhile, Nikko Logrosa of CBA secured second place, followed by Ma. Christina Legria, still of CBA, winning the third spot.
