New Weapon – The Bandit
A new pistol is being added, priced between the Ghost and Sheriff. It’s capable of one-shot headshot kills on lightly armored enemies, offering new strategic options for pistol and eco rounds.
Breeze Map Rework
The map Breeze has been completely overhauled to allow for more controller diversity and easier-to-isolate angles. Open spaces have been closed off to improve gameplay flow. Breeze is returning to the competitive map rotation, and RR losses will be reduced by 50% for the first two weeks to help players adjust.
New Limited-Time Mode – All Random One Sight
A lightning-fast 5v5 arcade spike mode where players spawn as a random agent each round, featuring TDM-style abilities, contested map orbs, and condensed maps focused on a single site.
Competitive & Player Behavior Updates
• MMR System Adjustments: Hidden MMR calculations are being refined to better reflect individual skill, leading to more consistent and balanced matches.
• Sharper Focus on Disruptive Behavior: A new annual community pact will be required. Policies around smurfing and comms abuse have been strengthened with firmer penalties for severe offenses. A new “behavior standing” system will provide transparency on conduct and potential penalties.
Esports – VCT 2026 Season
• Kickoff Tournament: A triple-elimination tournament will send three teams per league to Masters Santiago.
• Increased Roadshows: VCT will visit twice as many cities in 2026, with Stage 2 playoffs in Madrid, Trundu, Busan, and São Paulo.
• Global Events: Masters Santiago, Masters London, and Champions Shanghai are confirmed.
• New Path to Champions: The Ascension system is being replaced. Challengers teams will compete for slots at Stage 2 playoffs, giving them the chance to face partner teams and earn their way to Champions.
Replays in Custom Games
Replay functionality is coming to custom games, a highly requested feature for content creators. The team is also working on enabling replays from friends’ match history, targeted for release in the coming months.
