TOMORROW IS ZERO SHADOW DAY IN METRO MANILA 🔆

Ang "Zero Shadow Day" ay nagaganap kapag ang araw ay direktang nasa taas o zenith ng isang latitude. Pagsapit ng tanghaling tapat, sa loob ng isang minuto, ang mga bagay (hal. poste) ay nagpapakita ng halos walang anino. Ito ay mas maoobserbahan kapag maaraw!

May dalawang araw (day) sa taon kung saan ang araw (sun) ay dumadaan direkta sa taas ng isang latitude. Ang pangyayaring ito ay maoobserbahan lamang sa mga lugar sa pagitan ng Tropic of Cancer (+23.5°) at Tropic of Capricorn (-23.5°). Sa Pilipinas, ang araw (sun) ay direktang dadaan sa ibaba simula Abril sa Mindanao at tutungo pa-hilaga (northwards) hanggang sa "Summer Solstice" sa Hunyo ng Northern Hemisphere. Pagkatapos nito, ang posisyon ng araw ay kikilos naman pa-timog (southwards) hanggang sa "Autumnal Equinox" sa Setyembre.

Para sa Kamaynilaan, ang "Zero Shadow Day" ay nagaganap sa tanghali ng Abril 29 at Agosto 13.
