⭐ What Is Financial Literacy?
Financial literacy is the skill of managing, protecting, and growing your money so you can live with peace of mind—today and in the future.
To truly understand it, we teach 4 major concepts:
1. The X-Curve Concept
This shows the relationship between responsibility and wealth.
🔵 Curve 1: Responsibilities (go down over time)
While young, responsibilities are high — children, bills, loans, parents.
As you age, these responsibilities should go down.
🟢 Curve 2: Wealth (should go up over time)
When young, wealth is low.
As you grow older, wealth should increase so you become financially free.
The goal:
➡️ Build savings and investments while you're young
➡️ So that when you're old, you no longer depend on your children.
2. The Solid Financial Foundation
You build wealth like building a house — from the ground up, not the roof first.
The 5 Layers:
1️⃣ Healthcare (Short-term & Long-term)
Your first defense.
Because sickness can wipe out your savings instantly.
2️⃣ Life Insurance
To protect your family from financial loss if something happens to you.
3️⃣ Emergency Fund
3–6 months' worth of income for unexpected events.
4️⃣ Debt Management
Control debts, avoid high-interest loans.
5️⃣ Investments
Build wealth for long-term goals (retirement, education, etc.)
Without a solid foundation, your financial house collapses.
3. The Rule of 72
This teaches how fast your money will grow.
👉 Divide 72 by the interest rate = years for your money to double.
Example:
If your money earns 12%, then
72 ÷ 12 = 6 years
So your money doubles every 6 years.
This is why investing early is powerful.
4. The Prosperity Formula (10-20-70 Rule)
This is how you divide your income wisely:
💙 10% – Tithe / Give Back
💛 20% – Savings & Investments
💚 70% – Living expenses
When you follow this, you stop living paycheck-to-paycheck and start building wealth.
