Knowing Christ @ Acts 14 💖🙏

Acts Chapter 14 recounts the missionary journey of the Apostle Paul and Barnabas. In this chapter, they visit several cities, preaching the gospel and performing miracles.

One of the significant events in this chapter is Paul's sermon in Lystra. While preaching, Paul notices a man who has been crippled since birth. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Paul heals the man, which astonishes the crowds. However, instead of recognizing Paul and Barnabas as messengers of God, the people mistakenly believe them to be gods. They even go as far as to prepare sacrifices for them.

Paul and Barnabas swiftly correct the people, emphasizing their humanity and pointing them towards the one true God. Despite this, some Jews from Antioch and Iconium influence the crowd, turning them against Paul. They stone him and drag him outside the city, presuming he is dead.

However, the disciples gather around Paul, and miraculously, he recovers. The next day, Paul and Barnabas leave for Derbe, where they preach and make many disciples. They then retrace their steps, encouraging the churches they had established along the way, appointing elders in each church, and commending them to God's care.

This chapter highlights the perseverance and courage of Paul and Barnabas in their mission to spread the gospel, even in the face of opposition and adversity. It also serves as a reminder of the power of God working through his servants, performing miracles and touching lives. 💖

Thank You, Lord, for being our guiding light in the darkness. In moments of uncertainty and fear, You have shown us the way and provided comfort. Your unwavering faithfulness has never faltered, and we are eternally grateful for Your presence in our lives. You have protected us from harm and guided us towards the path of righteousness. We are humbled by Your love and mercy, and we long to deepen our relationship with You.

Lord, we are in awe of Your greatness and holiness. As we learn more about You, our love for You grows deeper. Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, illuminating the way we should go. Through scripture, prayer, and worship, we seek to know You more intimately. We yearn for a deeper understanding of Your character, Your purposes, and Your desires for our lives. As we dive into the depths of Your word, we are filled with awe and wonder at the magnitude of who You are.
