“The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has allowed Xavier University, Liceo de Cagayan, and the nursing program of Capitol University, to offer strict F2F classes.

Capitol University was among the 60 universities nationwide granted permits to offer medical and allied health programs with limited face-to-face classes.

Dr Fe Juarez, executive vice president of Capitol University, said that the CHED allowed them to hold limited physical classes for the 3rd and 4th-year classes of their nursing program.

Juarez said that they applied for the permit after retrofitting their classrooms at the College of Nursing. “The permit was granted in April this year after CHED, DOH, and IATF inspected us,” Juarez said.”

With observed health and safety protocols, the Capitol University – Working Scholars Association (CU-WSA), together with the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Amor Q. De Torres, initiated a community pantry for the CU Student Assistants on May 6, 2021, at the CU Open Stage.

The community pantry was made possible with the combined financial efforts coming from the faculty and staff. Indeed, no act of kindness is ever too small! CU has once again showcased her core values, especially the CARE.

The community pantry is open every Thursday of May 2021.

Every moment we spend in Capitol University ceaselessly brings significance to our lives. Our campus, with its positive and hopeful atmosphere, is the very place where we have cultivated our dreams and nurtured friendships. The hallowed halls and the monumental columns have witnessed how we emerged as bright-eyed victors after overcoming the challenges in our student life.

For us, Capitolians, the month of February is a season of looking ahead through remembering our Alma Mater's humble beginnings. From her inception unto this day, Capitol University continues to stand in glory and grandeur as it conquers even greater heights. Join us as we take into heart the essence of the Capitol University Hymn while counting down to 50.

Save the date for the launching of the 50th Founding Anniversary of Capitol University on February 15, 2021.

Let us APPRECIATE, CELEBRATE, and INSPIRE.

How are you, Capitolian?

Now that online classes are in full swing this semester, we'd like to know how are you doing. Thus, the University through CUDDLE Committee and OSAS is spearheading a Student Status Survey. This survey aims to determine specific challenges of the students in terms of Student Support and Services, Academics and Technical aspect. Likewise, the data from this survey will be used for the improvement of the university's academic and non-academic services.

With this, may we request if you can answer the survey which can be accessed at bit.ly/Student2020Status ? Please log in/ use your CU email (the one which ends with .cu.edu.ph) when acessing the survey. All College and Graduate School students are required to answer the survey.

Thank you and keep safe, Capitolian!
