Roy Cosing, music man.
Growing up in a musically-oriented family where his mother played the piano, his elder sister taught him piano when he was four, and his father made him listen to an eclectic mix of country, latin, waltz, and big-band Glenn Miller music and to the classics on DYSR (Silliman University Radio), Roy was well on his way to carving his own path to being the music man that he has become.
As a teen he got invited to play as guitarist in a local band and later moved on to keyboards. He dropped out of his 4th year in college where he majored in Marine Biology to pursue his dreams in music. In the late 70s, he played in Manila, Davao, and played sessions for various rock bands in Olongapo and Clark Air Base in Pampanga. He then went to Japan, where he stayed for 12 years or so, as a musician. After his stint abroad, he came back to Cagayan de Oro in 1994 and opened Coco’s Bar along Tiano St., which became the local watering hole known for jazz music.
Roy composes and arranges music. He’s also an accompanist.
He composed Lullaby of Dreams for his son, Nicolas, about 26 years ago. Click on the video below for a soundbite of this haunting piece and listen to the full song on KahuTS https://www.radioking.com/radio/kahuts

Mitch Tabor, composer & sound engineer.
“I trust my ears more than my gear.”
Mitch Tabor, 24, writes, mixes, and masters his own music and others’ as well. Little wonder how he got hooked on music, as his Dad, Adrian, was the mean lead guitarist of the famed Rated R band in CDO in the 90s.
While Mitch builds his career as a professional real estate broker, he also runs a home production studio with his Dad, where he strives to express the musical texture and dynamics into his music for that professional sound stamp.
Listening to other professional artists’ musical expressions allows him to improve his own works. “I learn from experimenting and from listening to a lot of music. I do a lot of adjustments to what I work on and won’t stop until I’m happy!”
