That game is OVER.

Clients today aren't just looking for skills - they want someone who GETS them.

They want a partner, not just another hired hand.

If you're still playing the old numbers game, it's time for a serious mindset shift.

Forget about getting MORE clients.

Focus on getting the RIGHT clients.

What do you do when Upwork suspends your contract?

If you find that your contract has been suspended and your client is under investigation by Upwork, it's crucial to take the following steps immediately:

1. Cease All Work: Stop any ongoing work for the client as soon as you're notified of the suspension.Avoid Contacting the Client:

2. Do not message or communicate with the client during this period.

3. Understand the Risks: Investigations may involve serious issues like fraud, scams, or the use of stolen credit cards. Continuing to work or interact with the client could inadvertently involve you in these issues.

4. Protect Your Account: Your continued involvement might lead Upwork to suspect your involvement, risking suspension or termination of your own account.

5. Handle Finances Cautiously: If there's pending payment, be aware that funds from a stolen credit card will be removed from your account.

6. Be Patient in Other Scenarios: Sometimes, contracts are suspended due to simpler reasons like a client's debit card lacking funds. Even in these cases, it's best to wait for official clearance from Upwork.

Beware of Scams in Freelancer Groups!

It's 2023, yet I still see freelancers commenting "interested" in obvious scam job posts in Facebook groups. This makes me wonder why. From what I see, there are two possible explanations:

1. Unaware Freelancers: Many freelancers might not realize these are scams.
2. Scam Partners: Some commenters might be in cahoots with the scammers.

Let's Help Each Other: If you spot a fake job post, don’t just scroll past it. Drop a quick comment to alert others that it’s a scam. Together, we can make our community safer and scam-free!
