𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲'𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆! 🩷 The poem submissions from the previous Orgs Fair can now be seen at the SSC Valentine's Booth beside the Freedom Stage.

We are also accepting new write ups, so please come and join us! There is no fee. Just come write and we will be keeping them safe. (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

Furthermore, the SSC booth offers food and beverages — all profits will proceed to the projects for the students. Booth will last until 5pm.

Good evening, MSU-Buug community.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that our renewal request submitted on September 6, 2023, has been unfortunately rejected due to its late submission.

Regrettably, this means that we will be unable to proceed with our planned activities for this semester, including the Call For Writers auditions.

However, we want to remain proactive and ensure that your enthusiasm and talents find a platform to shine. Therefore, we encourage everyone interested in becoming a part of our creative community to pre-register for the Broadcasting Club that the members of D' Authors are currently in the process of establishing.

We deeply apologize for this delayed announcement and any disappointment it may have caused to aspiring writers who were eager to join our club. Please rest assured that we are committed to making up for lost time and opportunities. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue pursuing your passion for writing, and we look forward to welcoming you in the upcoming semester.

[Creative Writing]

"Her POV"

Today was excruciatingly busy. I woke up at 6:37 a.m., an hour and seven minutes later than I should have. I suppose being part of the student council means being willing to go to school on an empty stomach and with a sleep-deprived body. Anyway, I rushed to school. Oh dear, I must say it was such a careless thing to do. I had forgotten my umbrella — and of all days, when the weather has more mood swings than a dehydrated college student on her first day of her period. Truly, the stamina of the freshmen to play nine game stations under the scorching sun was very commendable.

The morning passed with no problems, by good fortune. I walked back to my boarding house to have lunch, print a few posters, and retrieve more books for our booth. Sadly, I was running late again. Sigh. I had to spend my meager 15 pesos to get a tricycle ride back to school. That could have bought me a cup of rice and still have an extra five pesos. But on the brighter side, I finally had my umbrella with me.

We set up the booth near the gym's entrance. A good place, I must say, except when the sun moved and started glaring on our faces. We had a small table with a yellow cloth on top. Aside from the posters, we displayed some novels, manga, and manhwa to attract people. What could be more gratifying than seeing students get hyped about literature? It reminds me of the quote by J.K. Rowling, "If you don't like to read, you haven't found the right book."

We also gave out free bookmarks for the first forty people to write a poem on our cute colored papers. We taped them on a white steel grid embellished by vines and a rose — the decorations I painstakingly ripped from my own room. I didn't expect the attention our little campaign gained. The bookmarks were all claimed before an hour and a half even passed. I felt bad for not preparing enough, but I was also elated by the number of students who wanted to write. Even when there were no more free bookmarks, the poem submissions still continued! MSU Buug has many literary talents!

We spent the rest of the day talking about books, and I even met people who enjoy the same stories as me. Truly a wonderful experience! All the effort was worth it. I hope we can conduct more activities similar to this in the future.

Haaa. Today was excruciatingly busy. But it was also fun and exciting.
