“Knowing The Race Course”
Beginner: Sir paano ko po ba ma-ilayout ang magandang spot para maitrain nang mahusay ang mga race birds ko.
bro Toto: Get a map, mark mo ang location nang loft mo, then mark mo ang mga race stations at kumuha ka nang ruler at guhitan mong lahat ang race stations papunta sa loft mo. Then humanap ka nang magandang spot from 15 miles, 30 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles and 100 miles station along the line of flight. Make sure na may maluwag na parking space at open space para safe ang release mo sa mga trainers mo. Once the birds are trained at least twice at 100 miles station, I usually do two 30 miles or 50 miles toss during the weekdays and one 100 mile toss during the weekend. Once the race season started all the race team that didn’t go to the race will go 100 miles on a weekend and two weekdays toss at 30 or 50 miles will continue until the race season ends. Goodluck !

“Age Nang Young Birds”
Beginner: Good morning sir, can i ask what do you think is the best age for young birds to race dito sa pinas? As you know sir, young bird ang labanan dito sa atin sa pinas. thank you in advance.
bro Toto: The younger the better. 5-6 months is ideal in my opinion. Proven na kasi eg. 5 month old Piet Lazeroms, 5th place sa Allen.
That age will also be ideal for the north race. We have many good family of racing pigeon sa Pinas, their breeders know the right age for them to be ready for the races. I believe most long distance family of birds sa Pinas are usually ready to race at 7-8 months of age. The fast maturing short and middle distance birds are basically ready at 5-6 months of age at the start of the racing season.
So at 3-5 months of age puwede na start sa training ang race team. Hindi lang ito ideal age to start training sa Pinas but ideal din ito sa America at iba pang bansa.
Ang idad nang race team ay nakasalalay sa management practices nang handler at may advantage ang handler na nagsisimulang mag training nang maaga. Isang pagmumuni-muni lamang po..ctto idol f.bunag
