MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) against the transfer of Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) funds to the National Treasury.
According to SC spokesperson Atty. Camille Ting, the SC issued the TRO upon granting the prayers of three petitions, specifically from 1Sambayan, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, and Bayan Muna to stop the transfer of the PhilHealth funds.

CODE RED

As of 11:35 AM on October 22, 2024, the CDRRMO has issued a public advisory regarding Talomo River along Brgy. Tugbok Proper, which is currently monitored at Code Red (Critical Level) due to the weather disturbance from the Trough of Tropical Storm "Kristine." Water levels in the river are increasing.

In light of this, all Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils (BDRRMCs) and disaster volunteer groups along Talomo River are advised to closely monitor flood-prone areas, conduct reconnaissance, alert communities living near the river channels, and report any incidents to Apo Base.

The public is also urged to remain vigilant and respond proactively to the situation.
