Guerra takes flight, soars as Top 1 Outstanding Stude
Althea Danielle Q. Guerra of the College of Computing, Arts, and Sciences (Ccas) clinches the title of Top 1 Sotero H. Laurel Outstanding Student of the Year, not for being flawless, but for showing strength through struggle.
In her speech, Guerra shared that her journey with Lyceum of the Philippines University began in Grade 7. Over the past ten years, she faced more than a few challenges, including moments when things didnโt go as planned. Still, she pressed on, supported by mentors, classmates, and family.
โThe only thing on my mind was that I was saved by God. I was saved by Him again,โ she said. โThatโs when I realized all the other times He had saved me, like still making it to the Top 10 even when I failed to submit something.โ
Her message served as a quiet reminder that being outstanding isnโt always about perfection. Sometimes, itโs about growth, grace, and staying grounded.
Two more Lyceans join Guerra as SHL Outstanding Student awardees, while seven others earn recognition as Exemplary Students.
