In a three-day Automated Lycean College Student Councils (CSC) Election (Alecyean), headed by the university's Committee on Elections (Comelec), voting commenced across all three campuses through both online and in-person voting schemes, May 29.

Voting precincts are located at the three campuses, specifically at the Sotero H. Laurel (SHL) lobby at the Main campus, the computer laboratory at the Riverside grounds, and the Ground floor of the Pacific Ocean building at the Lyceum International Maritime Academy (Lima) campus.

"By participating in this important event, we also hold these leaders accountable for their actions and decisions, ultimately striving to create a better community for every student here at LPU," stated Kiara Ysabel Sulmaca, a first-year student, in a PHOENIX interview.

Meanwhile, some students expressed difficulties in submitting their votes online.

"It was very anticlimactic. There were technical difficulties during the voting, like slow internet connection, and not everyone was able to vote. The process wasn't very smooth,"Summer Jay Vallo expressed in a PHOENIX interview.

As of 4 PM on the first day of voting, 27.89% of Lyceans had cast their votes, indicating that 1,832 out of 6,568 students had already turned in their picks. Voting will continue until May 31, 4 PM.
