Today, October 31, 2024, MARINA Region IV, led by Regional Director Engr. Rizal J. Victoria, joined the visit at Batangas Port as part of the ongoing Oplan Ligtas Biyahe: Undas 2024 initiative. The visit was conducted by Assistant Secretary for Maritime Atty. Julius Yano, together with Batangas Port Manager Joselito O. Sinocruz, and Philippine Coast Guard Southern Tagalog District Commander CG Commodore Geronimo Tuvilla.

The visit aimed to assess the portโ€™s readiness and ensure the safety of all passengers, especially as travel activity peaks this holiday season. Authorities reviewed passenger flow and inspected vessels to confirm compliance with safety standards, guaranteeing that each vessel can accommodate passengers securely.

Assistant Secretary Yano reassured the public that there are enough vessels to meet the increased demand. Thanks to the portโ€™s enhanced facilities, travelers can expect a comfortable waiting experience, even during peak hours.

Additionally, MRO IV issued a "Relaxation Order," effective from October 28 to November 5, 2024, to facilitate the smooth operation of all vessels during this critical period.

MARINA Region IV, alongside with other maritime entities and stakeholders, will maintain active monitoring throughout the season to ensure the safe and efficient travel of all passengers.
