The activity aims to provide a platform for Agricultural Extension students to extend information and updates in the field of Agriculture through Radio and TV shows.
The activity was headed by Dr. Anna Mae Relingo, course professor in Agricultural Extension 13 (Principles and Methods of Extension Teaching).

Tribes bag awards in Buling-Bulingan '24
Loud cheers and applause filled Teodosio's Cultural Park as tribes bagged awards in the awarding ceremony for the Buling-Bulingan Streetdancing Competition on April 30.
For minor awards, Tribu TIMGAS won Best in Production, meanwhile, Tribu TUMANDOK claimed the Best in Props and Costume.
Moreso, for the street dancing competition, Tribu TIMGAS was hailed as first place, while Tribu TABOK got second place, and Tribu TUMANDOK got third place.
The competition was joined by tribes from different barangays that showcased their native costumes and danced in the streets of Poblacion, Banga, Aklan.
Moreover, Buling-Bulingan was in its second year after its hiatus.

HAPPENING NOW: To review and analyze the data gathered for the Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras, Research Assistants and Municipal Tourism Officers and Planning Officers attended the CMPG Data Gathering Review and Workshop, at the Aklan State University โ Banga Campus, Conference Hall, April 30, 2024.
This event aims to document and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of Panay and Guimaras by examining the suitable methodologies and approaches for cultural mapping.
The project was organized by Dr. Nenia N. Bohulano, Project Coordinator.

ASU HOLDS USC GRAND RALLY โ24
Aspiring USC candidates persuade ASUians for their votes at the University Student Council (USC) Grand Rally held at Gabaldon Building-Aklan State University, Banga, Aklan on April 30, 2024.
The program started with the overview of the grand campaign rally, followed by the reading of guidelines and criteria, the official introduction of aspiring officers and, the presentation of their platforms.

The said competition was joined by nine tribes from 30 barangays of Municipality of Banga.

COLORFUL FESTIVITIES LIGHT UP TOWN OF BANGA
Joyful rhythms and vivid colors filled the streets and the town plaza of Banga as local schools and Banganhons came together to celebrate Saguibin Festival on April 29, 2024.
Led by the lively beats of the bands and the graceful twirls of majorettes, the parade was a sight to behold. Banga Elementary School, Bacan National High School, and Aguinaldo T. Repiedad Sr. Integrated School proudly showcased their studentsโ talents as they marched through the streets.
Adding to the festivities, the Central Visayan Institute of Aklan and Mangan National High School showcased their Saguibin dance presentation, an exhibition of Akeanon spirit of communal cooperation.
Saguibin, an Akeanon term meaning โto help one another,โ was embodied in the exciting performances that captivated onlookers with their energy and creativity.

ASU Celebrates 68th Aklan Day
In a vibrant display of unity and Akeanon pride, the Aklan State University faculty and non-teaching staff participated in the 68th Aklan Day celebration in Kalibo on April 25, 2024.
The commemoration kicked off with a thanksgiving mass at the Kalibo Cathedral and followed by the civic and military parade from Pastrana Park to Goding Ramos Park.
Local government officials, together with different schools, government agencies, and private sectors, graced the occasion.
The event served as a reminder of the university's dedication to fostering academic excellence and community engagement.

LOOK: Bachelor of Arts in Communication sophomore students attended the orientation for the utilization of DYMT station for their course Broadcasting Principles and Practices (BPP), at DYMT station, Extension and Community Services Office, Aklan State University, Main Campus, April 17, 2024.
Mr. Vic R. Ibisate, Radio Operator of DYMT, headed the orientation and briefing for the proper use of the facilities inside the station.
The collaboration aims to provide BA-Communication students with experiential learning opportunities and hands-on experience in scriptwriting, radio production, hosting, and on-air news reporting.
The initiative was headed by Mr. Walter P. Toriano, course instructor of BPP.

DYMT Multimedia-Based Community TeleRadio
READ: Aklan State University to launch the new version of DYMT Community Radio to operate via online streaming.
Funded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Field Office 6, DYMT takes turn exploiting the rich opportunities in online broadcasting. Now known as "DYMT Multimedia-Based Community Tele-Radio", the online radio will be launched on September 19, 2023 at the ASU Review Center followed by its maiden on-air broadcast at 11:00am.
No less than the Regional Director of DA-DIR. DENNIS R. ARPIA will grace the launching.
