The Gift of Eternal Life

1. Overcoming Sin and Death

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Jesus Christ, through His sacrificial death on the cross, redeemed us from the penalty of sin, which is eternal separation from God.

2. A New Life

2 Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." By believing in Jesus Christ, each one of us experience a spiritual transformation, becoming new creation with a hope and purpose centered on God.

3. Eternal Relationship with God

1 John 3:2 "Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." The ultimate fulfillment of our faith is the promise of spending eternity in the presence of God, experiencing perfect love, joy, and peace.

Remember how Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1Corinthians 15:1-4). This is the Gospel, the power of God to salvation. Eternal life is given by the One who is risen.
BELIEVE AND BE SAVED!

Being a good person is "good," but it's not the basis of our salvation. It is not the key for us to go to heaven after we die. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, 'For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.'

If not good works, then what? What is the basis of our salvation?

In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, St. Paul says, 'Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.'

It is clear that the gospel of the grace of God saved us. If we believe and receive in our hearts that Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again, then we will go to heaven after we die.

First and foremost, we need Jesus in our lives because He is the only way to salvation. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). If you want your soul to be saved from going to hell, then believe in what He did.

Secondly, He is the only way for us to have a relationship with God the Father. As we go back to the beginning, our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned against God because they ate the forbidden fruit that gave the knowledge of good and evil. God had said to them, "If you eat the fruit, you will die." Adam and Eve did not die on the spot because God was referring to spiritual death, not physical death. This spiritual death caused a separation from God and a broken relationship with Him.

Now, what does the Bible say about how our relationship with God can be restored? Through Jesus Christ, our relationship with God is reconciled. Jesus Himself said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).
The only thing you should believe is the truth that "Jesus died for our sins, He was buried, and He rose again." Now is the day of salvation, not after death. As 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, "For he says, 'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.' I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation."
