INSPIRATION:
As Christians, we know that we are saved because of God's great act of love. And our response is, of course, to reciprocate that love. But how do we do that? Of course, prayer and worship are proper expressions of love for God, and so is obedience. God has given us His commands and His instructions out of love for us. And when we heed His word, we demonstrate our love for Him.

PRAYER:
Father, thank You for Your boundless love. As I reflect on Your good gifts, I grow more and more in my love for You. Thank You for Your word and for the wisdom and direction that it gives me. Help me to walk in obedience to Your word so that I may love You not only with my words and my feelings but with my actions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Inspiration:
We often think of laws as burdens. And in human systems, they usually are. But God's laws are perfect, and He has given them to us not to weigh us down, but so that we may be renewed by them. Love God, and love others. This is the summary of God's law. And as His law grows us in wisdom, we are renewed by venturing deeper into His love.

Prayer:
Lord, Your love knows no bounds. I thank You for giving me Your perfect law, which guides me in Your truth and centers me in Your love. Teach me to see Your love in every command and decree. Grow me in wisdom so that I may experience the full refreshment and renewal of Your love through Your commands. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Inspiration:
In a sea of ‘thou shalt not,’ the commandment to honor the Sabbath is a refreshing change. God never tires, yet He chose to rest. Why? Because rest brings joy, and it is His desire that we experience the joy of resting in Him. So He has given us the Sabbath, a good gift, so that we can experience a brief respite from the toils of life and get a foretaste of eternity with God.

Prayer:
Thank You, Lord, for the gift of rest. Thank You for setting aside a day where I can turn my heart to You and find rest from the work of my hands and mind. I confess that I don’t always cherish rest as I should, and ask You to help me to make Sabbath rest a priority so that I may be refreshed in Your blessing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
