This dance event is a collaboration with Simeona F Chanyungco, Lahing Kayumanggi Mananayaw Ng Marikina Inc, Marikina High School, and Indak Kustura Dance Company.

We are excited to announce the auditions for our upcoming Performing Arts program! We are seeking talented and passionate individuals to join our ensemble. If you have a flair for acting, dancing, or in music, we want to see you!
Audition Details
Date: August 4, 2024 (Sunday)
Time: 1:00pm
Location: Kapawa Studio, Purok 2, Camambugan, Balasan
Registration: Please arrive 30 minutes early to register.
What to Prepare:
1. Acting: Prepare a 1-2 minute monologue. Choose a piece that best showcases your acting abilities.
2. Dancing: Be ready to perform a 1-2 minute dance routine in the style of your choice. Bring your own music.
3. Music: (Singers) Prepare a song (up to 2 minutes) that highlights your vocal range. Bring a backing track if needed. (Instrumentalist) Prepare a 1-2 minute performance. Bring your handy instruments.
Additional Information:
- Dress comfortably and appropriately for your performance.
- Be prepared to participate in a brief interview following your performance.
- All participants must be at least 12 years old. Fill-up the parent consent form.

QUESTION:Community engagement is essential for personal and societal progress, can you share a specific initiative or project you have been involved in that has positively impacted your community and what lesson you learned from that experience? ANSWER:I am proud to say that I am a member and I have been involved with Kapawa School of Performing Arts since 2021 where we showcased not only our talents but also enabling us to enliven the rich as well as amazing history and colorful traditions of Balasan. Such platforms served as an avenue to open our perspectives to various possibilities and opportunities. The lesson that I have learned from this experience is to constantly keep embracing the cultural diversity of Balaseรฑos because it weaves the tapestry of our unique identity."
