On this New Yearโ€™s Eve, we pause and reflect on the year that shaped us. We look back on the stories we shared, the lessons we learned, and the moments that challenged us to grow.

This night is not only about endings, but also about quiet beginnings. It is a reminder that growth does not happen all at once, but through small choices, honest conversations, and the courage to keep moving forward even when the path is unclear.

As we step closer to a new year, we choose to welcome it with a positive mind and an open heart. May the year ahead bring growth, clearer purpose, and the courage to keep learning, questioning, and becoming better.

Today, let us honor the legacy and life of Dr. Josรฉ Rizal, whose pen awakened a nation and whose courage ignited the flame of freedom. A hero who proved that ideas can be more powerful than weapons, and truth braver than silence.

Going back, Rizal lived in a time when the Filipino voice was silenced under colonial rule, yet through his novels, essays, and patriotism, he exposed injustice and inspired a revolution without lifting a sword.

He died on December 30, 1896, a martyr at just 35 years old, facing a firing squad for daring to awaken his people. Yet even in death, his spirit lived on, and his message refused to fade.

Christmas is a gentle reminder to slow down, look around, and appreciate the simple blessings we often take for granted. Itโ€™s a season filled with warmth, love, and gratitude. Where shared laughter echoes a little louder, hearts feel a little lighter, and time spent with family and loved ones becomes truly meaningful.

As the lights shine bright and the communities brought together by the spirit of the season. May this Christmas bring peace to your heart, hope for the days ahead, and joy that lasts beyond the holidays. Wishing everyone a meaningful and joyful Christmas, carried by love and hope into the coming year.

Last December 19, Tomas Del Rosario College gathered as one community to celebrate its annual Paskuhan, a meaningful occasion that captured the true spirit of Christmas. The event brought together students, faculty, and staff in a shared celebration that reflected the diverse ways people experience the season while remaining rooted in love, generosity, and togetherness.

More than a festive gathering, Paskuhan served as a reminder that Christmas goes beyond decorations, music, and traditions. It highlighted the importance of human connection, the bonds we strengthen, the kindness we extend, and the warmth we share with one another. The day was filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and shared experiences that turned into memories worth cherishing.

As the celebration came to a close, the spirit of Christmas continued to resonate within the community. May the joy, peace, and gratitude felt during this Paskuhan inspire everyone to carry the essence of the season forward, long after the holidays have passed.

In celebration of Christmas, the College Department has held their annual Christmas party this Friday, December 12, 2025.

The event, hosted by Lee Zuniga from BSBA and Amarah Tanael from BSA, started off with a wonderful opening remark from Sir Vicente Lintag. Students from different departments, as well as faculty members and college staff were encouraged to partake and feel the Christmas air altogether.

Aside from recreational games, the Christmas party also included a talent competition for every department to join. In response, students have performed a spectacular intermission number from each department, showcasing their talents beyond the classroom. The winners of the said competition were announced on the same dayโ€” with BSBA dancers taking the win, followed by BSA dancers placing 2nd, with BEED dancers as 3rd place.

Additionally, the event was also used to recognize the participants and winners of the previously held Bulletin Board Design Making Contest by the SCSC.

For the final part of the Christmas Party, each department organization enthusiastically prepared a booth to share traditional treats with the entire college community, fostering a spirit of unity and celebration. JPIA offered p**o bumbong together with warm tsaa, JMC prepared freshly made p**o, FED served a variety of delightful delicacies, while CISCO provided refreshing palamig to the student body, making the celebration even more memorable.

The party was held as a joyful farewell before the long-awaited semester break, serving not only as a moment of relaxation and celebration but also as a meaningful reminder of the true essence of Christmasโ€”love, gratitude, and togetherness.

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Maryโ€”a profound reminder of Godโ€™s saving grace at work even before Maryโ€™s birth. From the very first moment of her existence, she was preserved from original sin and filled with Godโ€™s favor, prepared to be the Mother of our Savior.

As the angel declared, โ€œHail, full of grace, the Lord is with youโ€ (Luke 1:28).

May Maryโ€™s purity inspire us to seek holiness, her humility guide our choices, and her unwavering โ€œyesโ€ strengthen our faith in Godโ€™s plan. May her life inspire us to welcome Godโ€™s grace into our own hearts.

In commemoration of Bonifacio, we honor Andres Bonifacio, the Supremo whose life proved that true love for the Motherland is lived through action and sacrifice. This devotion is reflected in his own moving words:
"Aling pag-ibig pa ang hihigit kaya sa pagkadalisay at pagkadakila, gaya ng pag-ibig sa tinubuang lupa. Aling pag-ibig pa? Wala na nga, wala."

These were not just mere lines for him, but the heartbeat of his revolution. Orphaned young, he worked tirelessly to support his siblings. Later, he opened his eyes to the injustices faced by the Filipino people and transformed that pain into purpose. From his involvement in La Liga Filipina to founding the Katipunan, every step he took testified to a love so pure that he dared challenge an empire.

Today, we remember his courage not simply as history but as a living reminder that true love for the country demands action, sacrifice, and unwavering hope - isang diwang patuloy nating isasabuhay sa bawat henerasyon, kaya mabuhay ang diwa ni Bonifacio. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

Tomas del Rosario College is taking a bold stride toward sustainability with the installation of solar panels across the campus!

By harnessing the power of the sun, weโ€™re not only reducing our carbon footprint but also creating a cleaner, greener, and more energy-efficient environment for everyone โ€” students, faculty, and future generations alike.

This eco-conscious initiative is a true win-win: it helps the institution cut energy costs while empowering students to embrace sustainable living and champion a brighter, more responsible future.

Hereโ€™s to brighter days ahead โ€” letโ€™s keep shining green, Del Rosarians!

On this All Soulsโ€™ Day, we pause to remember those who have gone before usโ€”our loved ones, mentors, and friends whose presence once filled our days with warmth and wisdom.

Their absence may leave quiet spaces, yet their legacy continues to shape our lives in the most gentle waysโ€”through the lessons they taught, the love they shared, and the memories we hold close.

As we light candles and offer prayers, may we also find gratitude in the time weโ€™ve been given, and comfort in knowing that remembrance is a form of love that never fades.
