The kick-off meeting with parents and guardians for the school year 2025-2026 finally commenced this June 21, 2025 at the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) Arpili Balamban Campusโ grade school covered court for the scheduled Parent's Orientation.
The meeting aimed to strengthen bonds in the Josenian community and was a way to build meaningful partnerships among the parents and guardians. The program first began with a Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Raul M. Buhay, OAR at 8:00am and was followed by a 15 minute health break before the program proper at 9:15am.
The Program proper formally began with the singing of the Philippine National anthem and welcoming remarks from our very own School Principal and Director, Rev. Fr. Raul M. Buhay, OAR, who shared the implementation of a new digital program for Christian Life Formation (CLF), โGod's Parkโ and โOMG WOOF!โ which stood for โOh My God, Wonders of our Faith.โ The app aims to strengthen Catholic values in the community through a gamified experience where students are able to engage in effective learning while also adapting to the new digital norms of the current generation, serving great purpose in their development and spiritual connection.
Fr. Buhay also shared the opening of the school's BACHELOR OF SCIENCE AND CRIMINOLOGY this July 14, 2025 where new doors of opportunities will finally open for the aspiring youth and their journey to become professionals while still upholding their religious values. He then spoke about the improvements of the university, facilities, and the missions/goals for the future of the school. This allowed parents and guardians to be aware of the additional details and understand the vision the school had for it's learners.
The introduction of Faculty, staff, maintenance and LAY administrators came soon after. Academic coordinators from Elementary to Senior highschool (Mrs. Rowena Tomarong, Ms. Abigail Maque, and Ms. Stephanie Leones) invited various teachers to come forward, giving parents the chance to get to know the educators who aimed to lead, guide, and nurture their learners for the rest of the school year.
Staff and Maintenance were then recognized as Ms. Althea Vitug followed, revealing the faces behind the school's management and operations who were playing big roles in ensuring the quality of the school's facilities and the work processes behind every school matter.
Last but certainly not the least, the introduction of Religious and LAY administrators were finally announced by Rev. Fr. Raul M. Buhay, OAR, who mentioned the departure and goodbye of our previous Administrators Rev. Fr. Dominggo Saladaga, OAR, and Rev. Fr. Ni**od Launio, OAR to open arms in welcome for our newly arriving priests.
Mrs. Maryleh Concepcion then came infront to give the parents and guardians an orientation of the school's policies and guidelines, mentioning specific situations in order to emphasize the importance of ensuring learners were guided accordingly with the rules of the University.
In addition to the meeting, Mr. Jake Lester Jamisola, a training specialist, gave the parents a quick overview of โGod's Parkโ and โOMG WOOF!โ from it's registration process to the involvement of the parents and guardians themselves. This gave the parents a chance to get a glimpse of the new learning material for the children and become familiar with it's operation.
Finally, the program concluded with some additional announcements and a closing prayer led by Mrs. Mary Grace Calosor, leaving parents with significant information and trust for the school as it moves forward to continue assuring that the University not only aims for academic growth, but also for the development of an individual's spirituality and morals, encouraging them to become more mature and knowledgeable in life and in their own communities as someone unique, informed, outstanding, and most importantly ๐ข๐ด ๐ข ๐๐ฐ๐ด๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ.
