401 Scouts and Scout Leaders from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines are participating in the 25th World Scout Jamboree in Saemangeum, Korea together with more than 50,000 Scouts, volunteers and day visitors from different parts of the world to experience the biggest gathering of young people happening only every four years.

For the past few days, the extreme heat and humidity have caused challenging conditions for the participants of the Jamboree โ€“ a situation that hampers the smooth flow of activities in the camp and off sites and threatened the health and safety of the campers. However, actions are taken to mitigate the situation, prioritizing the health, safety and well-being of all participants.

The Korean Government, in response to the prevailing situation, harnessed all available resources at their disposal to address the situation. Our Scouts from the Philippines are coping with the situation and are actively participating in the jamboree activities with the guidance of their Adult Leaders.

We would like to assure the parents and relatives of our Scouts from the Philippines participating in the Jamboree that we are all safe and doing well and we will go home carrying with us the jamboree experiences that we would cherish forever.

Thank you so much!
