NEWS UPDATE | Ayon kay Dr. Mhel Avenilla ng Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), patuloy pa ang kanilang initial assessment katuwang ang Mines and Geosciences Bureau ng DENR upang matukoy ang paggalaw ng lupa.

Pinaalalahan naman ng PDRRMO Quezon ang mga residente na huwag munang bumalik sa kanilang mga tahanan upang maiwasan ang anumang peligro.

Patuloy namang naka-monitor ang pamahalaang panlalawigan upang maibagay ang karampatang tulong sa mga apektadong pamilya.

𝗕𝗖𝗗𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 𝗝𝗢𝗛𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘
The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) lauds the Supreme Court’s ruling to “deny with finality” all motions for reconsideration filed by CJH Development Corporation (CJH DevCo) and its third-party respondents, upholding its decision to allow the BCDA to recover the 247-hectare property in the John Hay Special Economic Zone.

In a resolution dated October 22, 2024, the Supreme Court En Banc ruled “to DENY WITH FINALITY the said motions for reconsideration as no substantial arguments were presented to warrant the reversal of the questioned decision…No further pleadings or motions will be entertained.”

The Clerk of Court of the Supreme Court has issued on October 22, 2024 an Entry of Judgment certifying that the Decision dated April 3, 2024, has been filed and recorded with the Judicial Records Office. The Decision granted BCDA’s Petition for Review on Certioriari and REVERSED AND SET ASIDE the July 30, 2015 Decision of the Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court further ruled that “(t)he March 27, 2015 Order of Branch 6, Regional Trial Court of Baguio City in Civil Case No. 7561-R, confirming the Final Award dated February 11, 2015, in PDRCI Case No. 60-2012 is REINSTATED. The April 14, 2015 Writ of Ex*****on and the Ex-Officio Sheriff’s Notice to Vacate are likewise REINSTATED.”

The Supreme Court’s unanimous decision affirms the 2015 arbitral award as well as reinstates the writ of ex*****on and notice ordering CJH DevCo and all persons claiming rights under them to vacate the subject leased premises within Camp John Hay. The Decision in favor of BCDA has “become final and executory” and has been “recorded in the Book of Entries of Judgments.”

BCDA assures the public that businesses will continue to operate in Camp John Hay. BCDA is closely coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.

#𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 😌 | Epektibo na sa December 24, 2024 ang karagdagang sahod para sa mga nagtratrabaho sa pribadong sektor at mga domestic workers sa Cordillera Administrative Region.

Kasunod ito ng pagpapatibay ng National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) sa bagong wage orders na inilabas ng Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board o RTWPB CAR.

Inilabas ng RTWPB CAR ang Wage Order No. CAR-23 noong November 13, 2024, na nagdaragdag ng P40 sa daily minimum wage sa lahat ng probinsiya sa rehiyon. Mula sa kasalukuyang P430.00 daily minimum wage ay magiging P470.00 na ito.

Inilabas din ng RTWPB CAR ang Wage Order No. CAR-DW-06 na nagdaragdag ng P1,100.00 sa buwanang sahod ng mga kasambahay sa rehiyon. Mula sa minimum wage ng mga kasambahay na P4,900.00 bawat buwan ay magiging P6,000.00 na ito.

Pormal na ilalathala ang Wage Order Nos. CAR-23 at CAR-DW-06 sa Disyembre 8, 2024 at magiging epekto pagkatapos ng 15 na araw o sa Disyembre 24, 2024.

Ayon sa NWPC, sinunod ng rehiyon ang criteria sa pagtatakda ng wage increase sa ilalim ng Republic Act Nos. 6727 at 10361, kabilang na ang pangangailangan ng mga workers at kanilang pamilya, kapasidad ng employers o industriya na magbayad, at ang requirements ng economic at social development sa rehiyon.
