Steps on how to get your BIR Digital ID (valid as any government ID):
This assumes that you already have an existing Tax Identification Number (TIN) in the BIR.
1. If you do not remember your TIN, go to the nearest BIR office and ask for TIN Verification Slip. It will show your BIR registered name, address, TIN, and RDO Code location.
2. If your TIN account in BIR has no email address, you need to update it by downloading in BIR website BIR Form No. S1905 (Registration Update Sheet) per Annex A of RMC No. 122-2022. You may download the form here --> https://www.bir.gov.ph/.../RMC%20No.%20122-2022%20S1905...
3. Print and fill out the Form S1905 with your PERMANENT EMAIL, address, RDO Code, TIN, and other details and sign this. Picture or scan the form with your cellphone or computer/printer.

5. Wait for a few days and you will receive an email that your ORUS TIN account with the BIR is updated with your email address.
6. Go to the official BIR ORUS website. https://orus.bir.gov.ph Register your TIN and email in NEW REGISTRATION > AS AN INDIVIDUAL > and CREATE AN ACCOUNT. Then fill in the details (with existing TIN). After creating your BIR ORUS account, log in and click generate DIGITAL TIN ID. Fill in the details and click update and print your digital TIN ID.
The following are several key features of the new Digital TIN ID:
A. It serves as a reference for the Taxpayer Identification Number of the taxpayer and as a valid government-issued identification document accepted in various government agencies, local government units, banks, employers, and other institutions. Its authenticity can be verified online via the ORUS system using the QR Code provided.
B. Unlike physical TIN cards, the Digital TIN ID does not require a signature. The authenticity of the Digital TIN ID can be verified online through the ORUS just by scanning the QR code appearing in the Digital TIN ID using a mobile device camera.
C. Individual taxpayers with existing TIN can apply for the Digital TIN ID through ORUS. Users must enroll their accounts on the ORUS.
D. The Digital TIN ID is a permanent identification document. Both the physical TIN card and Digital TIN ID remain valid, and holders need not secure a physical card if they possess a Digital TIN ID.
