𝗪𝘂𝘀𝗵𝘂 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗿, 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗶𝗸𝗼𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰

Nakamit ng lalawigan ng Camarines Sur ang Overall Champion sa larong Wushu Sanda na umani ng kabuuang 5 Gold, 1 Silver at 2 Bronze na medalya sa Palarong Bikol 2024 na ginanap sa Tabaco Northwest Central School, Tabaco City mula Abril 28 Hanggang Mayo 4.

Si Charles Dastin B. Albao kasama ang dalawang mag-aaral ng Baao NHS na sina Rafael Bolo (Grade 11) at Carl William Colarina ng Grade 7 Bartolome (Jennifer Sabularse - Tagapayo) ay nakasungkit ng medalyang ginto sa kategoryang Boys. Samantalang kinuha naman ni Leo C. Molina ang pilak, at si Gabriel A. Abanto ang tanso.

Sa kategoryang Girls, dalawang gintong medalya at isang tanso ang naiuwi ng koponan mula sa Camarines Sur. Nagwagi sa gintong medalya sina Josa P. Saba at Francisca P. Baesa, habang si Ahngie N. Enojosa, mag-aaral ng Baao NHS mula sa ika-9 na baitang (Helen Grace Bricenio - Tagapayo) ang nag-uwi ng medalyang tanso.

Sa kabuuang bilang, nakuha ng koponan ng Camarines Sur ang limang gintong medalya, isang pilak, at dalawang tanso.

Ang tagumpay na ito ay dahil sa gabay ng mga tagapagsanay mula sa Camarines Sur na sina Maria Arminda V. Conrado para sa Wushu Boys at Darrell P. Lomeda para sa Wushu Girls na matatandaang sa ilalim ng kaniyang pagsasasanay ay patuloy na namamayagpag hanggang nasyonal sa loob ng 4 na taon ang mga kabataang atleta mula sa CamSur.

Bukod dito, kinilala rin ang mga nagtaguyod sa tagumpay ng koponan na sina Michelangelo A. Aguila, Jeffrey B. Mendez, at Geremi Kyle P. Regala. Si Marinel S. Deris naman ang nagsilbing chaperon.

Sa pagtatapos ng Palaro, ang tagumpay at husay ng mga atleta mula sa Camarines Sur sa larangan ng Wushu Sanda ay patuloy na magpapakita ng kanilang natatanging gilas, lakas, at determinasyon sa bawat laban patungo sa susunod na laban.

𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁

In a remarkable display of creativity and talent, Frank Justin S. Brabante, a grade 10 STE student, clinched 2nd place in the poster making contest held last February 8, 2024, as part of the annual Fire Prevention Month Community Relations Week Games and Contest with the theme: "Bumbero sa Pamayanan, Kasangga, Kaibigan."

The event was organized by the Baao Fire Station in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Baao, spearheaded by the esteemed Hon. Jeffrey S. Bisenio. Under the able leadership of Officer-in-Charge SFO4 Dario L. Panerio, LPT, JD, the event saw enthusiastic participation from junior and senior high school students hailing from various public and private schools across Baao.

With the guidance of his coach, Mrs. Leah Claire M. Beltran-Yu, Brabante demonstrated his exceptional artistic skills, impressing both judges and onlookers with his poignant portrayal of fire safety and community resilience. His artwork showcased his talent and conveyed a powerful message about fire prevention and preparedness - emphasizing the vital role of firefighters as allies and friends in society.

The poster-making contest's success serves as a testament to Baao's unwavering resolve to prioritize safety and cooperation in the face of potential challenges. Applause resounds to all the participants for their remarkable achievements and contributions towards safeguarding a brighter future for the community.

In an immense showcase of talent and skills, once again the Baao NHS GSP dancers amazed the crowd bagging first place at the Hip-Hop dance competition on World Thinking Day with the theme " Our world, Our Thriving Future," held at Robinsons Place Naga on February 18, 2024.

Under the guidance of their stellar coaches, Tita Ma. Charina Blanquera, Tita Leah Claire M. Beltran-Yu, and Tita Jean B. Bulalacao, the Baao NHS GSP dancers delivered a marvelous performance that captivated the audience and impressed the judges. Through rigorous training, the GSP dancers showcased teamwork and commitment as a group.

Congratulations pour in from all corners of the paper, as the BNHS GSP hiphop dancers inspire other performers everywhere. Their success serves as an exemplary example of what can be achieved through determination and hard work.

Talented students of Baao National High School (BNHS) take center stage emerging victorious in the recently concluded Congressional District Festival of Talents for Culture and Arts today, February 18, 2024, at Bula Municipal Covered Court.

With their jaw-dropping performance, the Baao NHS dancers nail the top spot in the Hip-Hop competition (Secondary) with their coach, Mr. Roland B. Barcelona.

In a display of talent in singing, Martina Linelle J. Peñaranda, 12-AD, has garnered 2nd Place in Vocal Solo mentored by Mrs. Janine B. Betchayda. Similarly, Peñaranda also secured 2nd Place with her partner, Jann Zedrek Ongray, 12-AD, for the Mixed Duet competition coached by Mrs. Billy Jane A. Manlangit.

Meanwhile, the Baao NHS students serving both beauty and grace in the Folk Dance (Students Category) with their coach, Mr. Jhun Badiola, was announced as 3rd Place in the said contest.

Truly the Baao NHS were not just there to play but to set the floor on fire. The presence of overflowing support from the school community, the unwavering guidance of their mentors, and the immense passion they’ve put into their craft led them to this outstanding achievement.

In an effort to empower young journalists, a three-day Campus Journalism Seminar was recently conducted at Baao National High School - Main Campus last February 15-17, 2024.

The participants engaged in hands-on exercises, group discussions, and practical assignments, allowing them to apply the knowledge gained from each session. By the end of the three days, the student writers left feeling inspired and equipped with the necessary tools to excel in the field of campus journalism with the guidance of experienced mentors like Mr. Danny Boy Nacario, Ms. Kriza Oliveros, Ms. Lara Rodriguez, Ms. Ma. Krystel Joy Bongon, Mr. Markfred Biag, and School Paper Advisers Ms. Bianca Fay Burgos and Maricar Robosa.

In a display of talent and brilliance, students from Baao NHS made their mark after winning multiple competitions during the 77th Foundation Anniversary of the University of Saint Anthony (USANT) held last February 5-10, 2024.

The trio of Crizza Angela P. Norte, Jhamela Kaye Abonete, and Maureen Kaye B. Quintana, under the guidance of Ma'am Jinky B. Basagre, brought home 1st place in the Inter-Senior High School Battle of the Brains.

The performers from Baao NHS have secured 2nd Place in both the Inter-School Cheerdance Competition and Inter-School Modern Dance Competition under the mentorship of Sir Jhun Badiola, Ma'am Audris Agtarap, Sir Roland Barcelona, and Ma'am Janine Betchayda.

Krizanto Marx Severo, Christian Esplana, and John Mark Segui with their coach, Sir Mark Anthony A. Pega have secured 4th place in the Inter-Senior High School Research Competition.

Moreover, Juban C. Bayos secured 5th place while Crizza Angela P. Norte ranked 7th in the Inter-Senior High School Engineering Math Quiz guided by their coach, Engr. Eduard N. Embuestro.

Jhon Leo Brinas and Joshua Badong, guided by ma'am Aileen B. Berdul ranked 6th in the Inter-Senior High School First Aid and CPR competition. The group of Charize Faye Bulalacao, Jaschel Bless Sinfuego, and Vallery Carique, under the supervision of Coach Grace Ann Contreras, have received the same award in the Inter-Junior High School Battle of the Brains.

Trixie Mae B. Badong, mentored by Farrah Ilah Blanquera, presented her skills claiming 10th place in the Inter-Senior High School Extemporaneous Speaking competition.

In the part of the cinematic aura, Nicolle Baydal stood out, obtaining the title of Best Actress in the 2024 Dalumat Short Film Festival. In addition to that, their short film entitled "Lapis" directed by Gener Robosa anf and Zan Joshua Rivera and mentored by Sir Hercules Obenia and Sir Kim Silerio received special mention during the awards night.

Furthermore, five SHS students namely Mark B. Cereno, Harlen Dave Barrameda, Karl Andrei Defeo, Jonil S. Pascual, and John Michael Beraquit, under the mentorship of Coach Hercules B. Obenia gave a nice fight concluding as Semi-finalist in the Inter-School Mobile Legends Tournament.

To add to the thrill, Baao NHS students actively participated with dedication in other competitions, such as John Zedrick A. Ongray, coached by Sir Danny Boy Nacario in the Inter-Senior High School Drawing competition; Noriel C. Requiero and Maureen Kaye Quintana, mentored by Ma'am Kriza Erin B. Oliveros in the Inter-Senior High School Demo Teaching; Christian Josh B. Magtarayo, guided by his coach, Ma'am Amor Bacsain in the Inter-Senior High School Infographic Making Contest; Angelica Cortez, Jasmine Bayos, and Dennis Benosa, under the supervision of coach Monaliza Dato in the Inter-Senior High School Accounting Quiz Bee; Rizza Mae Mesoga, Wendy Bricenio, and Kim Navarette trained by coach Eden Bogtong in the Inter-School Skill Olympics; and Daisy Angelu Blanquera Mark Bulalacao, and Kendrick Matthew Velarde with Ma’am Monaliza Dato in the Inter-School Sales Pitch Competition.

Overall, Baao NHS students showcased their exemplary talent — their dedication and skills were apparent in their performance obtaining various recognitions.

Honoring the beloved educators with a vital role in every student’s life, the Baao National High School led by the Supreme Student Learner Government holds the annual Teacher’s Day celebration with the theme “Teaching Today, Shaping Tomorrow: Happy Teacher's Day!” on October 4, 2023, at the covered court-extension campus.

Giving thanks to all of the Baao NHS teachers for their steadfast love, support, and numerous sacrifices as second parents is the major purpose of this event. The students used small gifts and heartfelt messages to convey their dearest appreciation at a momentous period of the program. The occasion also turned into a platform for students to entertain their cherished teachers while showcasing their talents and ingenuity through captivating performances.

Love, gratitude, and extreme happiness resonated around the campus throughout the entire afternoon. It was another memorable and unforgettable moment for the teachers making them feel appreciated and acknowledged on their special day.

To all the teachers of Baao National High School, you may just be a teacher to the world, but to your students, you are all dauntless heroes! We salute your undying commitment to your profession!

The corridors of Baao National High School buzzed with excitement as the much-anticipated Science Week Celebration unfolded on September 25-30, 2023. Science club officers and students, under the able guidance of Ma'am Margie Bengua and Sir Christopher Bayrante and the whole Science Department, kicked off the celebration with the theme: “Timelapse: Accentuating the Eras of Science Clubbing”.

The journey of scientific wonders began last September 25, 2023, with the launch of Science Magic. Grade-10 STE students took center stage and performed astonishing feats of magic. The enchantment reached both the main campus and the extension campus, leaving audiences spellbound.

On September 27, 2023, the Mel I. Gaite Hall at the main campus was transformed into a cinematic hub as the GLIMPSE Society sponsored a captivating film showing, featuring movies that each offered a unique perspective on scientific wonders and challenges. Subsequently, intellectual fervor took over at the main campus on September 28, 2023, for the fiercely competitive Science Quiz Bee. Students from various grade levels engaged in a friendly but challenging competition, putting their knowledge to the test.

Furthermore, the extension campus came alive on September 29, 2023, as it hosted the Environment Next Tough Model competition. This event was much more than just a fashion show; it was a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and environmental consciousness. On the same afternoon, the PSYSC club sponsored an exhilarating raffle, adding an element of excitement to the day's events. As the day came to an end, the extension campus witnessed the recognition of the Science Quiz Bee winners, who received well-deserved certificates. Following this, anticipation was evident from the audience as the stage was set for the coronation and announcement of the winners of the Environment Next Tough Model.

Closing the week on a green and sustainable note, a tree planting activity sponsored by the YES-O club was held in Liboton, Buluang, Camarines Sur on September 30, 2023. This event was participated by the dedicated members of GSP, BSP, PSYSC club, GLIMPSE Society, YES-O club, and teachers from the Science Department.

This year's Science Week Celebration not only celebrated the diverse facets of Science but also nurtured a spirit of inquiry and innovation among students. It served as a reminder that the wonders of Science are both timeless and ever-evolving and that with curiosity and dedication, students can leave their mark on the scientific landscape.

𝗕𝗮𝗮𝗼 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗠𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱

Waving the flag of the Philippines, Crizza Angela Norte, a grade 12 STEM student from Baao National High School brought pride as she earned a Bronze medal in the recently concluded Philippine International Mathematics Olympiad 2023 Final Round held last Saturday, September 23, 2023.

The worldwide competition, spearheaded by the Math Olympiad's Training League Inc. (MOTLI) was joined by delegates from various countries, including Iran, Cambodia, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, and the host nation, the Philippines. Norte’s journey was spectacular as she participated online and was given the chance to represent the school and the country on the international stage.

Competing against individuals from these countries was fierce, but she was well-prepared to face the mathematical challenges that lay ahead. Her determination and dedication remained unwavering, allowing her to excel in the online phase and secure her place in the finals.

Prior to this, Norte also bagged the same award in the National Round last July 16, 2023. These achievements wouldn’t be possible without the collective efforts and helping hands of her teachers, mentors, and the LGU-Baao community. Aside from her parents and friends’ undying support, behind this triumph was a great role played by Ma’am Eleanor B. Montaña, the School Principal, Ma’am Jovita B. Bolalin, Assistant Principal, Ma’am Arabella Mendez, head of the STEM strand, Ma’am Roselle C. Gaminde, head of Junior High School Math Department, and her consistent coach, Sir Eduard N. Embuestro whom from the start has believed in their student’s aptitude and potential.

In the world of mathematics, there exists a prestigious competition that brings together the brightest minds from around the globe – the Math Olympiad. This event not only celebrates the exceptional talent of young mathematicians but also promotes camaraderie and a shared love for numbers.

May this victory be a source of inspiration to the young generations to have an indomitable spirit that refuses to give up in pursuit of knowledge and excellence. Let’s raise a toast for Crizza Angela Norte! Baao NHS is so proud of you!!

The Baao National High School Marching Band and Majorettes raises the competition to the next level as they take the stage displaying both groove and grace during 13th Bicol Regional Military Parade held on September 15, 2023 at Plaza Quezon Naga City.

With dedication and nonstop practice, the school were able to exhibit a marvelous performance leading them to nail the following awards:

3rd Place Best in Marching Percussion Band

LUNGSOD NAGA, BIKOL – Tatlumpu’t dalawang Senior Scouts ng Pambansang Mataas na Paaralan ng Baao ang lumahok sa patimpalak na Scouts Parade at DXMC Competition noong ika-13 ng Setyembre, 2023 na ginanap sa Quezon Plaza, Siyudad ng Naga.

Ito ang kauna-unahang pagkakataon na lumahok ang Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Senior Scouts ng nasabing paaralan sa isang kompetisyon sa pangunguna ng Senior Crew Leader (SCL) na si Sct. Joshua B. Badong, ang kanilang tagapayo na si Sctr. Eden B. Bogtong, WBH, at tagapagsanay na si Sctr. Carlo B. Contreras, WBH w/ CML. Ito ay sa ilalim ng pamumuno ng Punong G**o ng Paaralan na si Sctr. Eleanor B. Montaña, WBH.

“Noong papalapit na kami sa entablado ay magkahalong galak at kaba ang nararamdaman namin. Nagagalak kami dahil ngayon lang nabigyan ng pagkakataon na makasali rito dahil bihira ang ganitong patimpalak at sa ganitong paraan ay maipapakita naming ang aming kakayahan sa mas marami pang tao. Kinakabahan naman dahil hindi lang tagarito [Naga] ang makakapanood kundi maging buong mundo kung saan man may kababayan tayo ang nakasubaybay,” kwento ni Badong, SCL ng grupo.

Hindi man nakapag-uwi ng gantimpala ay masaya pa rin ang scouters sa oportunidad at karanasan na kanilang nakuha sa kaganapang ito. Binati rin sila ng Council Scout Executive Commissioner ng Camarines Sur Council na si Sctr. Maria Concepcion R. Besenio, WBH sa kanilang ipinamalas na husay.

“Iyong maranasan lang nilang lumahok [sa ganitong patimpalak], isang malaking karangalan nang maituturing. Ito ‘yung nagiging paraan upang mas mahasa pa ang kanilang kasanayan na magagamit nila sa pang-araw-araw. Pero siyempre mas binibigyan pa rin dapat ng pansin ang academics. Ang pagsali rito ay parte lamang ng pagsasanay pero dapat ay balanse pa rin at hindi naaapektuhan ang kanilang performance sa klase,” pahayag ni Sctr. Contreras, ang tagapag-sanay.

Nagbigay din ng suporta ang Agdangan National High School (ANHS), Caranday National High School (CNHS), Eusebia Paz Arroyo Memorial National High School (EPAMNHS), Iyagan National High School (INHS) at Nonito Paz Arroyo Memorial High School (NPAMHS) ng Baao District.

Bilang tugon sa Executive Order No. 29 at pakikiisa sa National Disaster Resilience Month na may temang "Tamang Pamamahala't Kahandaan, Kaalaman at Pagtutulungan sa Sakuna at Pandemya'y Kalasag ng Bayan", nakilahok ang mga paaralan sa "Bawat Guro, Isang Puno". Ito ay upang malabanan at mapagaan ang lumalalang pagbabago sa klima at Global Warming. Kinagiliwan naman ng kaguruan ng Baao National High School ang ganitong gawain kasama ang LGU Buluang, Baao Boy Scout of the Philippines, PNP deployed at Buluang, Buluang Youth Leaders,at SK Buluang and parents sapagkat malaki ang kahalagahan ng puno sa ating kapaligiran at kalikasan. Ang ilan ay piniling sa loob ng bakulan nila magtanim, samantalang ang iba'y dumayo pa ng lugar. Isipin natin kung bawat guro sa buong Pilipinas ay magtanim ng isang puno sa kanilang bakuran o saanmang lugar ay napakalaking benepisyong hatid nito sa mga susunod nating henerasyon. Marami tayong maliligtas na buhay mula sa mga sakunang dala ng baha at landslide. Marami rin tayong mapagkukuhanan ng pagkain dahil sa mga bunga ng punong kahoy. Kaya, ugaliin natin ang pagtatanim ng punongkahoy dahil sa huli, tayo naman ang makikinabang.
