Despite numerous postponements, DHVSU Apalit Campus' Bachelor of Elementary Education 4A students have finally completed their final teaching demonstrations, May 8, 2024.

The aforementioned teaching demonstrations are part of their requirements during their teaching internship under the supervision of Kristine C. Samia, one of DAC's instructors.

The demonstrations took place in their respective cooperating schools in Apalit, Pampanga namely AMA Basic Education of Apalit, San Vicente Elementary School, and Jose Escaler Memorial school.

According to one of their Student Teacher Leaders Giselle C. Fabian, she is happy to see that all of their hard work has paid off.

"It is also a pleasure to lead these student teachers to success. Without each other's help, we would not be able to achieve this accomplishment, so I wanna thank my fellow student teachers in contributing to each other's achievement. Cheers to 4A!" she added.

Samia also expressed her pride with the student teachers' achievement.

"I appreciate all your efforts. I can proudly say that you have shown excellent and remarkable teaching demonstrations. Job well done, future educators!" she states.

Meanwhile, the student teachers have yet to complete their 600-hour training to complete their internship requirements.

The student teachers are a part of the pioneer students which are set to graduate at the end of this academic year.

Ma. Arvilyn G. Figueroa, LPT, explained details about research to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) 3rd year students in a seminar organized by the Junior Marketing Association (JMA) held at the library of Don Honorio Ventura State University - Apalit Campus (DAC), April 12, 2024.

The seminar was titled: Degenderized Business Research Workshop.

Figueroa, as the resource speaker prompted the understanding of the students particularly about chapter 2 in research.

Moreover, Jerlyn Dizon, a student from BSBA 3A expressed her appraisal to the resource speaker in an interview.

"Very detailed siyang magdiscuss, lalo na sa part ng research design and sa iba pang technicalities ng research. Nagbigay din siya ng mga halimbawa para malaman namin kung ano 'yung applicable na research design sa topic namin," she stated.

"Amazed kami sakanya dahil talagang chineck niya kung tama 'yung mga steps na ginawa namin sa research para maensure na maganda ang magiging output ng research namin," she added.

Additionally, Gelyn Malayan from BSBA 4A and one of the organizers of the seminar conveyed her delight with the session's outcome through an interview.

"Dahil walang masyadong preparations, akala ko kaunting students lamang ang pupunta, pero masaya ako na marami ang nagparticipate and halos present lahat," she said.

Furthermore, she explained the value of research in business.

"Research is everything, because it serves as a compass that guides us through the complex terrain, specially in this competitive market in our generation," she added.

The seminar was attended by the 3rd year students from BSBA 3A and 3B.

In honor of the National Women’s Month, instructors and students of DHVSU Apalit Campus celebrated National Women's Month through a program with a culminating activity theme: “Pamasanmetung Para Kang Juana: A DACian Culture of Celebrating Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity” at the campus gym, March 22, 2024.

The event was led by the Gender and Development Focal Point System - Student Advocates (GFPS-SA) and included three distinct activities: the Gadvocacy Runway, Juana Got Talent, and Juana Got Wit: Spelling Bee.

These activities demonstrate support for the month-long celebration which emphasizes its purpose of attaining inclusivity and gender equity by providing an equal opportunity for everyone to participate and showcase their abilities and wit.

The event highlights included the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) department’s triumph in the Juana Got Talent, followed by the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management (BSBA) win in the Spelling Bee.

Lastly, Alleah Kaye Laquindanum, a first-year student from the Bachelor of Elementary Education expressed her gratitude for being named the Runway Star and winning the GADvocacy Runway event.

“Hailing as a GAD Advocate Runway star is such an honor for me. I am still overwhelmed, because all I want is to represent BEED First Year and to showcase my advocacy. I was not expecting at all to bag the title, but I know my advocacy is what made this victory possible. I will vow to consistently promote my advocacy and the gender and development movement. Thank you for all the support," she stated.

The program concluded after presenting awards to each and every contestant.

Cristal Rio U. Manuel, MBA, came to aid the students in their Degenderized BEED First Year Seminar entitled, “Navigating the Academic Maze: Overcoming Student Academic Problems through Effective Time Management Strategies” at Don Honorio Ventura State University -Apalit Campus (DAC), March 21, 2024.

Manuel began highlighting her speech by featuring the two different perceptions of other people about time.

“For you to understand, that time for other people is mahaba and for some people naman mabilis. Although it is a given fact that we have 24 hours in one day, para sa ibang tao mabilis ang isang araw, para naman sa ibang tao mabagal ang isang araw. Hindi siya pantay pantay, hindi siya pare-pareho,” she stated.

Meanwhile, she gave an efficient way to have a strong time management and to have a purpose to deal in everyday hindrances and to keep them motivated.

“One of the effective ways of having an effective time management is setting your goals. When you set goals, alam mo kung ano yung linolook forward mo for that day,” she added.

On the other hand, Ms. Manuel encouraged the students by giving encouragement words to the students to be not afraid to fail and to keep on trying.

Furthermore, the seminar was concluded with the help of the DAC Student Council.
