I can't even begin to express my gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of Canva's education to employment program. It was such a blessing to be chosen from among more than 2,000 applicants. Before I entered this program, I wasn't sure what I was capable of, but now I'm leaving with a clear idea of how much I can accomplish.

Social media is a lot of things, but "easy" isn't one of them. I'll be honest: growing your audience and improving your engagement numbers takes time, effort, and expertise. 😊😉

While you may be able to squeeze some time out of your schedule to try and manage your company's social media accounts yourself or have an intern do it, there are really only two outcomes: 👇
1) you're not going to get the results you want because you don't have the time or expertise to devote to it, or
2) you're going to spend a ton of hours trying to get the results you want and you'll feel frustrated by all the other important tasks that aren't getting done. And if you can't dedicate those hours, then how are you going to find time for all the other stuff?

Is the color of your brand making a statement you didn't mean to make?

Color psychology is one of the major players in branding. It can make or break your company, and there are plenty of resources online to help you pick a color palette that will do your product or service justice.

Some important things to keep in mind when it comes to color choice:

🔶 What's the tone of your brand? Is it cheerful? Serious? Caring? Color can create those emotions.

🔶 What's the message of your brand? Do you want to convey friendliness or seriousness? Inclusiveness or exclusivity? Color can communicate that too.

🔶 How does your target demographic respond to color? Certain colors have more significance for certain demographics, so before you choose a color, do some research into what will appeal most to the audience you're trying to reach.

Here's a rundown of the main colors and what they communicate to your audience.
Black: Power, elegance, mystery.

👉 Grey: Balance, purity (when combined with white), mystery.

👉 White: Innocence, cleanliness, simplicity.

👉 Red: Passion, anger (in excess), energy.

👉 Yellow: Optimism, youthfulness.

It's no secret that one of the most important parts of any business is customer service. And when it comes to social media marketing, it's especially important.

To make sure that you're giving your customers the best customer service.
Here are a few ideas:

1. Listen up 👂

One of the most important things about customer feedback is that you actually listen to what your customers tell you—whether that's in person, over the phone, or online. Take a look at what your customers are saying about you online, and see if you can use their feedback to improve your services.

2. Don't be afraid to apologize 😇 .

Everybody makes mistakes sometimes—and that applies to companies as well as people. If something goes wrong with one of your products or services, or on any of your channels, don't be afraid to admit it. Apologize right away and commit to doing better next time!
