Spreading Kindness at Villa Maria Integrated School
The City College of Angeles, the Association of Government Employees for a New and Dynamic Angeles City, the University of Santo Tomas, and Holy Family Academy joined forces for a heartwarming outreach at Villa Maria Integrated School, located in Porac's upland area. Gifts of groceries, school items, hygiene, and oral kits brought smiles to the wonderful Aeta students. The day was filled with heartfelt connections and gratitude, along with the Aeta student's traditional dance. It was a fulfilling reminder that simple acts of kindness can make a community feel such joy.

Today, his bravery inspires us to stand up against indifference, to fight for equality and to protect the freedoms we often take for granted. Andrรฉs Bonifacio, the countryโs foremost revolutionary, inspires ongoing struggles for mental health, climate action, human rights and others.
Letโs put our bravery into our battles this Bonifacio Day. Letโs be the heroes who stand up, speak out, and keep the fire of revolution alive.

NOVEMBER 16, 2024 - The Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTED) students of the City College of Angeles hosted an event titled "Kapampamangan V: Kapagmasusian Queng Pakamalan a Kapampangan Kapamilatan ning Pamangan", held at the CCA Quadrangle.
The program commenced with a powerful opening salvo by BTVTED 102 students, highlighting the tragic events of the Mount Pinatubo eruption, followed by an opening prayer led by BTVTED student Hanna Khay Sarmiento. Emcees Mr. Nerwin Suba and Mr. Henry Carbungco then officially opened the event with a warm welcome.
IEAS Dean Dr. Levita P. De Guzman, in her statement of purpose, highlighted that this annual event celebrates the rich heritage, unique culture, and vibrant spirit of Kapampangan identity, "showcasing the skills, artistry, and dedication of BTVTED students, faculty members, and the organization."
Kapampangan food is more than just dishes on a plateโit is a story of our culture, history, and identity. "Each bite of sisig, bringhe, or tibok-tibok tells the tales of our ancestors," City Councilor Raco Del Rosario delivered on behalf of Mayor Carmelo 'Pogi' Lazatin, Jr. And through Kapampamangan, our culture can be showcased and continuously kept alive in us.
CCA's OIC, Dr. Carolina Sarmiento, also had her speech commending the dedication and hard work of the BTVTED coordinator and students in organizing the activity. She hoped all attendees would enjoy the food served at their tables.
Meanwhile, Guest Performer Ms. Mica Yabut sang one of Kapampangan folk songs "Atin Cu Pung Singsing". The emcees then took the time to share the message of the song.
One of the activities featured in this event is the Runway Reverie, themed 'Where Arts Meet Fashion.' The judges are Mr. Donald M. Laxamana, Mr. Arvie Quiambao, Mr. Christian Paul Papellero, and Dr. Elmer S. Dayrit. The candidates walked the runway wearing themes such as Casual, Culinary, Corporate, Minimalistic, and Culture.
Afterwards, Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting delivered an inspiring speech, commending the students for organizing the event and highlighting the importance of preserving Kapampangan culture.
However, the program was temporarily paused due to rainfall and relocated to the CCA Admin Hall, Student Center, and Lobby. After the rain stopped, the event resumed with several activities, including the announcement of the runway winners, then back at the quadrangle.
