TODAYIIStudents and teachers gathered at the school's gymasium for a symposium focused on drug awareness and the implementation of key laws, including RA 8353 (Anti-Torture Act), RA 9262 (Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act), and RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act). The event aimed to inform the community about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of these laws. Students learned about the harmful effects of drugs, legal consequences for drug offenses, and available resources for those in need of support.

Angadanan National High School actively participated in the observance of Global Handwashing Day today, October 15, through an event organized by the school's Wash in Schools (WINS) program. Led by adviser Ma'am Krisha May L. Carabbacan and our School Principal, Dr. Marie Anne P. Barrera, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about the crucial role of hand hygiene in preventing the spread of diseases.

The WINS program at Angadanan National High School focuses on enhancing the school’s sanitation facilities and instilling good hygiene practices among students, contributing to a healthier learning environment. The Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Angadanan, led by Ms. Wendy Mae Marcos, Public Health Nurse, conducted a meeting with Grade 7 parents regarding the Department of Health's nationwide "Bakuna Eskwela" program. The initiative offers free vaccinations to students in Grades 1 to 7, protecting them against Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Measles, Rubella, Tetanus, and Diphtheria. During the meeting, the RHU team explained the benefits of the vaccines and potential side effects. Parents of Grade 7 students attended the session, with consent forms for the vaccinations signed accordingly. The vaccination program is scheduled to run throughout October.

Students, teachers, and staff of Angadanan National High School conducted the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) spearheaded by the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (SDRRMC) together with their adviser, Ma’am Jayne Carlaz Mamauag, September 26.

The Senior Red Cross Youth Council (SRCYC) led by Sir Joone Ceazar Manayan, also helped to make the drill successful.

The Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) is a preparedness exercise for everyone to learn and practice earthquake safety protocols.

TODAYII In line with the DepEd Memorandum No. 287, s. 2024, the Science and T.L.E. Department, led by the Head of Science Department, Ma’am Romavin Guillermo, and the Science Coordinator, Ma’am Precious Estrada, successfully organized the School-Based Science and Technology Celebration 2024, which runs from September 1 to 30.

One of the key highlights of the celebration is the series of competitive activities, including a poster-making contest, a science quiz bee, upcycling of recycled materials, and the SYMBO competition.

The much-anticipated Trashion Show is scheduled for September 27 as part of the culminating activity, where participants will demonstrate their creativity and craftsmanship by designing fashion pieces made from recycled materials.

Additionally, the Science and TLE Department has set up a Science Centrum, showcasing experiments and inventions from students across various grade levels and sections. The Centrum was officially opened today, September 25, and will remain open until September 30.

Grade 11 students impressed with their lively Aerobic Exercises, demonstrating coordination and fitness, while Grade 12 students showcased their cultural pride with the traditional Filipino folk dance "Pasiguin."

HAPPENING NOW! Teachers at ANHS convened for a Learning Action Cell (LAC) session to discuss crucial topics in education. The session focused on developing action research, innovations in teaching methods, and the creation of electronic strategic intervention materials aimed at enhancing least mastered competencies. Additionally, the teachers will explore the development and validation of website-based gamification as a formative assessment tool, emphasizing the importance of integrating technology to improve student learning outcomes. After this, the First quarter PATTARATA began. This aims to strengthen the bond within the faculty and celebrate the collective efforts during the quarter.

Athletes and coaches from Angadanan West and East districts gathered today, September 14, at Angadanan National High School for the Municipal Meet 2024. With the theme, “Achieving Unity, Strengthening Competence through Sports,” marked the official start of the annual competition.

Dr. Herros W. Torres, Principal II of Fugaru Integrated School, emphasized unity between the districts. He quoted the Olympic motto, "Citius, Altius, Fortius" (Swifter, Higher, Stronger), to inspire participants.

Angadanan National High School Principal, Mrs. Marie-Ann P. Barrera, delivered a warm welcome, highlighting the strength and determination of the Angadanan delegation. The School of Saint Vincent students also performed a dance for the opening ceremony.

The introduction of athletes and coaches followed, led by delegation heads Sir Jonathan Lim and Sir Scotty Pang. This was accompanied by district yells and cheers. Reign Risel Tauyan, a badminton player from Ingud Ramona Integrated School, led the athletes' oath, while Sir Scotty Pang, sports coordinator, administered the oath for officiating officials.

The ceremonial raising of banners was conducted by PSDS officials, sports coordinators, and school heads, while Sabina Marie Solanzo, a national taekwondo player, lit the friendly urn.

Municipal Mayor Hon. Joelle Mathea S. Panganiban extended her support to the athletes, announcing incentives for outstanding performances. On the other hand, Dr. Maribel C. Cacayan, District Supervisor of Angadanan West, officially declared the 2024 Municipal Meet open.
